Hello again everyone, Many thought that I went missing on my sea voyage from Haines, AK to Bellingham, WA. Unfortunately, WiFi was not available on the boats so had to wait until I reached the lower 48. I know some of you have cruised the Inside Passage and enjoyed it...if you have not, I would encourage you to consider taking a cruise or a ferry north to Alaska. On Monday, July 14, we boarded the Marine Vessel (MV Kennicott) at Haines, AK. This was my first experience putting my Gold Wing on the deck of a ship. I had heard many stories from other riders so needless to say, I was nervous. It went great, but you had to be extra careful on the deck as it was steel and with deposits of oil from other ... read more

Wow, we have heard back from so many people. Thanks to so many of you for your encouragement and prayers! As I was working on a Bible Study this week, I ran across an old familiar verse. Isn't it great the way God speaks to us wherever we are in our lives! Here's the verse - Psalm 19:14 (I'm sure many of you know it by heart) May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer! May this be true of us especially as we travel in Romania. Everyone has talked about how this will be a life changing experience, and you know what? We haven't even started traveling yet and I can feel God's blessings. It is so wonderful to ... read more

So, we only have 6 days to go! Can't quite believe it's almost here! I've been making lots of lists and doing lots of shopping. So many things to do and so little time. When we discovered this website for the Salt and Light Ministry, , we really started getting excited. This ministry is doing an Evangelism Campaign in Hunedoara and that is what we get to help with. Also, for those interested, here is the website for Broken Walls International, Inc. the ministry that helps many of the orphans in Romania. . We will get to visit the two families that we help support. Here, the orphans are placed in families so they learn how to share in the love and support of a family. It sure seems like a great way to help these ... read more

I Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power forever and ever, Amen. James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.... read more

MONDAY 19TH - SAN FRANCISCO - Had breakfast at 'Mels Diner' one block from the hotel. A fair dinkum American dinner. Mike had Hash corn beef and eggs. Was great all shinny and just like you imagine a diner to be. Then we took a cab to the wharf for our trip to Alcatraz. Cold and windy on the boat (we were on the top deck). Great views of the city and the island. Left on the 10.30 crossing and returned on the 2.30pm. Time just flew. So interesting watched a movie on the history of the island. Originally it was a fort built to protect SF. The cell block tour was exceptional. Each person is given a headset and recorder and you just wander around listening, being guided along from site to site. Keeps the ... read more
