Hello all, did the typical tourist things today and went on the boat to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Then headed up to the Rockafella (?) Centre for great views of the city. The weather has been clearing up so managed to keep dry today. Also the MTV music awards is being held at Radio City tomorrow so hung out with the screaming groupies to do a bit of celeb spotting. Saw Ice T and Steve O and alot of random people who we didn't have a clue who they were. Oh yeah but we did see Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas practising her song in the street. So generally an exciting day. Off to Cafe Wha tonight to watch some jazz, should be good. Frankie and Neil... read more

Hello, well we made it to The Big Apple. The weather is pretty wet but we are putting our rain jackets to good use and it hasn't stopped us seeing the sights. Saw Brooklyn Bridge and Grand Central yesterday and ventured around central park today. We're praying the weather holds off tomorrow so we can experience some dry views from the Empire State building! But having a great time and enjoying the atmosphere that is New York. Off now to my favourite place in the city, South Street Sea Port to enjoy some cocktails and the views...oh and to do some retail therapy at Abercrombie and Fitch!!! Frankie and Neil ... read more

Voila une semaine de vacances!!!! Et a New York!

Flew from Boston to Buffalo early on Friday morning. Arrived mid afternoon at our hostel (very nice, has been voted best in North America) and then caught a bus to Niagara falls to do the touristy bit. Arriving at Niagara it's actually pretty depressing, very much the tacky holiday resort in a run down area (think Blackpool). The river itself and the falls are spectacular though. The water is the most amazing turquoise colour and the falls are huge and very impressive. We wanted to walk up the path that takes you right up to the side of the American falls but Becky realises she has forgotten her waterproof and there is so much spray comes off the falls that it would mean getting soaked. Thankfully though the Maid of the Mist tours give out free ... read more

So i thought that after almost 3 years on the road i should write a blog about the place that started it all....Camp. Things here are good and the department that Im in charge of ( tennis you idiots ) is running like a pack of wild gazelles. This place is pretty cool, the work is hard and involves 6 hours of coaching a day to kids of various standards, but it is by far the most rewarding job i have had in my short time on the planet. I have been here now for about 14 weeks more or less and everyday involves a different event happening. Since the time I arrived in NY and went out with Becky and the boys I came over here with it seems like a decade has gone ... read more
