We had a lot of things to do in a day. First, we went for a walk along Juno Beach. Then we visited a Loggerhead Turtle rescue/rehabilitation centre and then a wildlife rescue/rehabilitation centre.... read more

I told Steph today that if my tax return is what I estimated it at (and it is usually correct to the penny), then I will pay for her to go to London/Paris with me. I don't want to go alone. That would suck a lot. Going to Paris will be akin to going to Mecca. I know that sounds so stupid but really. That is why I'm awake now because I just get sooo excited, rediculously excited and I feel within myself like I MUST go there. There is something inside, burning my soul, that I need to go there. I know I'll more than likely freak out once I get there, certainly. I won't want to leave either but whatever. I don't care. I'll go back again before I die. I have to ... read more

Ian and I were going to Florida with Ian's mom for his cousin's wedding, and decided to make a little vacation out of it as well. On a cold Thursday morning in Maine last March, the three of us drove to Manchester, NH where we had booked cheaper flights than from Maine. It is a cute, super-easy little airport. Luckily we had a direct flight to Orlando, and on the way down we were all able to sit in the same row. Arriving in Florida is always like Paradise (except for the hella long lines at the car rental desk) because as soon as you step out of the airport there are Palm Trees to greet you, and the weather was perfect - warm and balmy. Even taking the shuttle tram to the luggage pick-up was ... read more

Now, in an abandoned house. The ocean winds blow through it making a blend with the sea. "James" continues to take photos...he could be arrested for trespassing here. He knows this. It is exciting! He has been here before. DeJa Vu Each time James goes to dismantle this blog, he discovers something, or someone, else that is interesting! This blog is like a tapestry or fine silk carpet from Kashmir, pull out one string and the beauty is less. No one on this site, self included, is to be judged, rather observed. All are interesting and contribute to the beauty of the whole. We thank each one on this site for all make the story and thank You too for the share of your time and consciousness here. And what distinguishes depth of spirit from the carnival? After the tours, the talks, the fine dining, and 5 Star hotels with Carolyn and friends in India the appropriate question is, What Can I Learn? recall Hamlet, to learn of not to learn, saith Hamlet. A Traveler from the other side of the world, a great fan of Carolyn Myss's, commented on this blog that even with all the comforts of 5 Star Hotels, there may be a hazard of trading the authentic, the deep, the resonant (the Real) for a "superficial escapism," he wrote. What a loss if he's correct there and in a far country soaked for centuries in the mystic and religion! We might think about it for awhile and understand that either way, it ain't important. Carolyn insisted that the many women ... read more

Before we left India, Carolyn Myss said that our spirits would remain there for awhile before returning to us. I found this to be be true with Guatemala also. Diego and I last visited the ocean. I worked with Diego and the high waves. Shortly into our session, the waves calmed. We realized this calm was part of our session. I continued to hold him with both hands, working with the currents and the waves, letting the ocean perform the moves. The next morning, it was flat as glass. We worked again, and this time Diego was able to relax his neck even more and be held by the water. Before, with the high waves, he had kept his neck out of the water, ramrod straight, as best he could. He did not want to get ... read more

Kids? I'm not sure if I mentioned before about the kids. I'm not married or anything. I don't have kids. It happens that I work with infants and toddlers. They find me. How does it happen I have no idea, it just does. But about the kids. It was something I picked up when I was in the Amazon and on an adventure on a wooden raft there with my Dad. This was back in the early 90s. The minute my Dad and I got off the plane in Iquitos, Peru, we were surrounded by starving kids. Well, they weren't all starving, but they all wanted money. Our guide, Ney Pinero, took out a handful of change and just threw it in the air and they all scrambled for it. (Maybe I'll write a book about ... read more

Traveling between bombings and hurricanes, side-stepping both, I guess the aim in living is not to be good (for many good and kind people got caught in both disasters) but to be conscious. To be aware. To review, departed New Delhi the day of the bombings. Power was out in Florida. Hung out in LA and did bodywork and massage at the old office there, my former location for more than ten years. Was able to return to Florida after a week or so. Now, the power and phone is back on in Florida. Here is a photo of the cottage. (I actually dumped the white chair over to make it look worse. But that's what it was like when I first got here) My sister Deborah, from the Navy Ball, suffered Wilma in Boca and ... read more

LIFE AT THE CHRISTMAS TREE LOT It can be described in one word, WORK… Our alarm goes off at 6 every morning, we are out the door before 8, I prepare the money and set up the cashier desk area, Mike walks the lot to see if any trees have taken a walk of their own during the dark hours then helps set up the tree processing area which includes getting the chain saws out and ready to go and making sure there is plenty of twine available for tying the trees onto all the beamers, hummers and jaguars that come into our lot. Lexus SUVs are very popular down here. Then we are open for business. We start getting customers by 9AM usually. Most people are always in a good mood when they are tree ... read more
