I know I know, I sais that I was going to write every sunday, but I lied. As a matter of fact, I didn't lie, I was just busy! We were supposed to have a gig with Cassiopeak on the 17th of november and a gig with Cocain Cowgirl on the 20th. But as some of you might know, I'm working as a nanny to a 6 month old baby. And a couple of dayse before the first gig, the baby was getting sick. Then the mom got sick and was sent homw from work and got penecillin from the doctor so of course I also felt like I was getting sick. Since I get SOOOOOO sick every time, I decided to cancell the gigs. I still had to work with the baby though because the ... read more

With the rockband on wednesday (www.cassiopeak.com) and with the countryband on saturday (www.cocaincowgirl.com). We've a;ready had one gig with Cassiopeak, and we are not doing any nwe songs with that band next week. But it's gonna be the first gig with the countryband so i have to learn all these country songs from Merle haggard, Johnny cash (my hero!), Willie nelson, Loretta Lynn etc. It's going to be a lot of fun though, but I ... read more

Well I thought I’d give my mishaps of backpacking round Europe a bit of a break and write about some of the joys I had when I flew to LA with a few friends. Now to give just a little background, a mate had been planning a trip with two of his fellow workers. A few weeks before they were due to fly out he asked me if I’d like to come along. Not being one to turn down a holiday I agreed, and proceeded to rush through the paper work. We arrived at the airport, where I met the other two for the first time, and went to check-in. This is where things started to go down hill. The lady behind the check-in desk could not find any reference of me. And because I had ... read more

Ever wondered how eventful or uneventful your greyhound bus trip would be. Not that I haven't taken the bus, but to sit on it for 18 freakin hours from new mexico to california with multiple stops on the way and the most dramatic set of people including the bus driver has got to be the icing on the cake for me. So stressful was the trip that I decided to fly back to Albuquerque on the return. The journey starts at the albuquerque greyhound station....me sitting on the 2nd row. This old, "homeless" looking lady sitting in the 1st row gets a rude "move to the back lady" from the driver. Wow....wassup with that attitude dude!! Apparently, she was smelling of alcohol and the driver didn't want to smell her throughout the journey. I mean...com'on we ... read more

Yes, I am still home. BUT, tomorrow is the big day. I figured I should slap together an intro entry before we left though, just to test this out and what not. Katie and I are ROME bound starting tomorrow morning at 8am. Crazy huh? We are very excited as you can imagine. There is still plenty to do before then though and I really need to get on it. Alas, I am still at work. 2 more hours til freedom... 2 more hours til 17 days of glorious vacation. Could be worse, I know. So, I will do my best to log on and update as regularly as I can. I imagine there are a ton of internet cafes strewn about the city so it shouldn't be too hard. I will need to check my ... read more

Hey, I'm sitting here at work, not getting a whole lot done. Surfing websites to make sure I have everything I need and haven't missed anything. 36 hours and I'm on a 12 hour flight to New Zealand. I don't know how often I'll have access to the internet, so you may not see much here, but I'll try to add something each time I get a chance, and if there happens to be digital card readers, I'll upload some pictures as well. See you in August. ~Dave... read more

How do you prepare for a 94 day cruise? Summer in the South Pacific & winter in Asia, luckily for us, the ship has no limitations on luggage. We leave from Los Angeles and return to Los Angeles, so no flights to hassle with. Three months of advance bill paying and prescriptions. Say, did we turn off the water in the desert? Oh my goodness! We kick off our adventure January 9th with a Bon Voyage party and an overnight stay at the St. Regis in Century City. (Right next door to my old office building…small world…I’ll be thinking of you…nah!) Then on Saturday we embark to get a look at our new home until April 13th, the Radisson Seven Seas Voyager, which we get to show to Linda’s sister and brother-in-law. After a small visit, ... read more
