Today we got up real early and headed to the beach to hire a boat. We had read about lots of turtles and dolphins in the sea so we wanted to go and see them. we got the boat for 30 usd and headed out along with the New Zealand and Canadian couples. Saw a few turtles anjd each time, the crazy man driving the boat jumped overboard trying to catch them and left us to our own devices. After about 20mins the skipper of the ship started yelling something about a fish...it transpires that he actually had some line tied to his arm which we hadnt noticed, with no bait just dangling it off the back of the boat. He ended up catching a huge fish, which probably meant a few beer tokens for him ... read more

Having finally had enough of Acapulco, we jumped on the first bus out of there to peurto escondido, 7 hours further down the coast. The bus journey was horrendous and I thot it was never goin to end! Drove through some really poor parts of Mexico...bit like a third world country...loads of people washing themselves and their clothes in rivers and the journey was over ramps and through dust tracks for the full 7 hours...no roads!!! I managed to fall asleep for an hour or so only to be woken by the mexican army who were conducting a check point and searched the bus, all of the bags and locals who were on the bus...completely armed with their huge rifles.....good times! Eventually arrived in Escondido in the dark and got dropped off at a beach house ... read more

EXERCICE D'ANGLAIS: Traduire le texte suivant de l'anglais au français sans l'aide du dictionnaire. Eight hours on a windy road through hills of cacti, then pine, then cacti again brought us to the pacific. Puerto Escondido, famous among surfers for the "Mexican pipeline" a huge wall of water that crashes onto the beach at Zicatela. Experts only. As you'd expect we just paddled, played with the waves, watched various non-experts get pounded and wondered why they did it. At the reknowned backpackers hostel, Mayflower, there was the usual contingent of yanks, Israelis, Swedes, Brits, Germans, Swiss etc. We joined the motley crew for a couple of nights of oversized beers, tequila, flashing disco lights, UV and two for one cocktails. The hangovers were again waited out on the beach - Carrazaillo being the most chilled and ... read more

Ok, so as mentioned before, most of our time was directed to some party stuff. well here is the proof. not that we need proof, but they are the funniest of all pictures. most clubs were quite ... how to say ... lame? poser? surfer? boaring! yes, thats the one, they were just as boaring as listeing a tennis match on the radio. There were 2 exceptions: 1) babylon house, a place full of books, chess and bakggamon (spelt like this). there were live shows every night, one night they even tried quite succesfully with flamenco. it was all good untill a horrible woman took over this pretty girl dancing, and started beating the floor with her shoes just as if she stepped on a bee hive. it made my blood heat, if you slit right ... read more

4 km of white sand, warmly toasted by the uninterrupted sun. Mermaids sang for us (in cages) when the sun left the sky. and our harem prepared us the most exotic and delicious beverages. kiddin... Actually we went to the beach (10 seconds away) 3 times in 10 days. there is this secret about beaches, they are only usefull during the day. nobody told us that! fuckers... so we tried using it after parties, but the few that were left alive in the club had their faces disfigured, so we scared the only people brave enough to go to the beach at 10: grandpas. There is another inconvenience: frikkin surfers... they are everywhere, with their stupid tatoos and expensive bathing suits. apart from that, the beach was cool. when we got to go.... read more

Ok so 10 days 10 posts is not gonna be the way. resuming the trip: we drank. well as well there was the usuall, talking, breathing, eating, sleeping (little) and eventually going to the beach. Damian, fabio and me stayed in the room next to alberto and omar, the coolest (gay) couple ever. they are from DF, old friends from damiano who had the words party and drugs written on their forehead. i only met them once before and seemed ok, but this journey would expand my description to, fucking crazy bastardos, sons of the devil himself. thats right, the devil himself, just like absinthe.... Also there was felipe, a dude that is mistaken for gael garcia bernal (this gay actor who fell when he was born, then the doctor mistook his face for his ass ... read more

sooooo, after the hangover which took 2 days we headed to puerto escondido, a beach area close to oaxaca. 400 litres of fuel, 5 of water, 15 of beer, 2 pisses and 4 sandwiches later, i found myself in the middle of nowhere, beauty on one side, party on the other. what else could i possibly want??? (drugs, sex, a brand new computer, a playmate party, a private plane to crash, a chance to throw up on some celebrity....) ok, but all this would have to wait. that day we discovered what would be our temple of savage music and stupid phrases. in magical place, alcohol runs in rivers through dj sets and beautifull open "minded" tourist girls, the name of this heaven on earth is.....LA PIEDRA DE LA IGUANA!! sweet. Our death date was 10 ... read more

My last day in Puerto Escondido didn't start particularly well. Having partied fairly hard the night before I got up at 6-15am to make a 7-00am appointment with a fisherman. The appointment was made and we headed out to do some sport fishing. It was indeed a beautiful morning and the waves off Playa Zicatela - the "Mexican Pipeline" - looked spectacular in the early morning light, the back spray off the crests catching the low early morning light. We had two lines set and we trawled up and down the length of Zicatela before heading out to La Punta. We made a couple of passes at La Punta, a gathering of pelicans ruling the roost on a rocky outcrop marking La Punta, the point marking the end of Zicatela and the next bay. Still no ... read more
