How do you sum up 8 months of your life in one go? How do you properly convey all the unique and wonderful experiences in some lines of text? The short and sweet answer is that of course you cannot, I cannot even come close to sharing all the little moments, all the vast, varied, happy times, all the big moments or all the endless activities which make up not only a great exchange but also a completely life changing experience. I know that when I look back at my time in Montreal in 10, 20 years time I will quietly smile to myself, think of one of the myriad of happy memories and just be glad that I went to the effort to organise the whole thing and then actually took the next step and ... read more

No, you haven’t lost your minds . . . I haven’t left yet, but you’re getting a link to my “travel” blog. Well, just wanted to make sure I know what the hell I’m doing and try to upload some pics at the same time! I leave tomorrow, and I’m currently soliciting any suggestions on how to have a decent snooze on the plane (not my best skill, I must say), as I’ll be losing a night of sleep on the jaunt over the pond. Feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of this page if you can help little ol’ me out!!! So the “plan” looks something like this: - Leave tomorrow for London & torment Jeff & Nat for a week in the city - Thursday, May 10, hop a train ... read more

Well, the time has come. We fly out today around lunch time, stop in Newark for seven hours (how very exciting), and then get on our non stop to Delhi. It's going to be a very long day, but at least we are getting in at night and will be able to crash when we arrive. We are both very excited, and we will be sure to update this page as often as we can find reliable internet. We will miss you all very much, David and Heidi... read more

OHIP (oh hip) On Tuesday evening, I went to visit my aunty Mavis (who lives over here) on the GO train that has 2 levels and I went to sit on the top one purely for the novelty factor, occasional views of the lake but mostly Toronto suburbia that is a selection of muted coloured houses and no actual back gardens, just land around ‘you property’ all houses are built in different styles, no housing estates here. But lots of tower blocks, disguised as ‘condo living’. She (Mavis) was coming into ‘the city’ to take her new 6 month old puppy ‘intro’ to puppy class. (Training for guide dogs) I joined the class as we ‘all 19 puppies and various owners and friends of, walked down the main street of a small town called Oakville. ... read more

Hey everyone! Dennis and I are so excited because the day has FINALLY come! We are heading out to the airport in about an hour, we are all packed (well I am... thanks to Elaine, Dennis will be soon too), and we are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pumped to get on the plane and start going. Dennis forgot both his waterbottle (not as important and could have survived) and his raincoat (NECESSARY and needed it). So this morning our great friend Elaine brought both of them into the city and dropped them off at my house. Whew! First crisis is over with. So, by this time tomorrow we will be in Greece. Oh wait.. nope, we will still be ON A PLANE! Or at least local time anyways. I am very sad because I have to take off my ... read more
