Well apparently MICHELLE needs a blog update despite sitting in the same office as me! How strange! SO.... Thursday night was dive club again. I went to Sandra and Steve's for dinner first - had yummy scallops and a good chit chat! Shouted to much at Bob at the club by the pool! Calmed down in the pub afterwards I awoke on Friday with v sore throat - squeek squeek. Work was good -FANTASTIC (see I dont always moan!) As it stands my 12 month residence in Britain will be interspersed between two very large and very well known cities: Leeds and London. Currently London is where it’s at. I love it. And whilst, delving into the infinite history of this place, like tourists do, has been left in Azz’s capable hands - I have preferred to just experience what makes it tick. Midweek in London is just as turbulent as weekends, with dinner dates, theatre, sport, and late night shopping keeping me busy. The nightlife, quite simply, has to be experienced to be believed. It is incredible. It is rampant. And it borders on nocturnal. The ultra chic way of living is right up my alley. And to be honest, the expense factor is only an issue if you are not earning really good ... read more

Hi all Today we visited the Victoria Memorial which was built and set up by the British as a memorial for the British in India. The building is an impressive piece of architecture and built all of marble. Queen Victoria welcomes you at the entrance and so does several other important persons who lived and "made"India. Sorry I have to go now they are closing!... read more

Hi All, We hope you are all missing us lots and lots!! For those of you who have not heard yet, Brian organised a weekend in Paris for us, leaving Saturday morning 18th November 2006 and returning late evening on Sunday 19th November. It was a suprise given to me for my birthday a few weeks ago. Ohhh - I know, isn't he sweet. So, we promise upon our return, we will do a lengthy entry with lots of photos all about Paris. Well - we are also now in our new home, and loving it I might say. The people are great, and we have a huge bedroom to spread out in. The conservatory is calling anyone that wishes to visit!! This week has been cold. The temperature has been ranging from about 10-14 degrees ... read more

There may be only one Timmy Cahill, but unfortunately, I didn't get to see why as he was injured and unable to play in the Australia v Ghana clash on Tuesday night. But all was not lost, I did get to see many of the well known Aussies play - Aloisi, Bresciano, Chipperfield, Emerton, Grella, Moore and Schwarzer play (maybe more - but these are the only ones I have learned since I jumped on the bandwagon in the course of Australia's awesome success in the World Cup). Oh - and Viduka was watching from behind the players box. A group of 11 of us (there were meant to be 12, but one of the crew was stuck at work) made our way out to Shepard's Bush (home of the Antipodes) to see the game. We ... read more

Still need to book hotel for when we get there. Would be nice to have that sorted. The route we are taking is: Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, possibly Jaipur, Kerela and up to Goa and then back to Mumbai as flying back on the 10th of Jan. ... read more

Back here in Blighty and surfing between couches. Slept on three different ones the last three nights. So it's time to find a bed to call my own. Up this morning at 6am to go to the Labour Ready agency. Had to fill out forms and bring in documentation and sit a test. Got 100% in the test so I think I might be accepted into the labour ready community. The other employables who were registering this morning inexplicably failed to get all the answers correct, there is a very real chance that I may be working with fools. Those who turned up for work who were already registered were being sent to Asda and required black trousers for this highly respectable employer. That's another drain on my rapidly dissipating funds, I need to buy trousers ... read more

First Blog Entry. Well since I resigned from Jaguar at the end of September 2006 I have been wondering where I found the time to work at all. This journal entry should sum up the last few months before I go into hibernation for the winter and look to plan another epic journey around the world in the new year. If I get chance, I will attempt to upload some of my photographs from my previous 2 year trip (1998 - 2000) as have now got a colour scanner to archive the boxes of photographs I accumulated the last time. I will also attempt to upload a travel map of some of the places I have been. I spent 2 weeks visiting my brother in Canada, 9 days updating my Kitchen in Nuneaton, 1 month travelling ... read more

Hi all Thought it best to send the blog on as the lights keep dipping which is a sign of - yes loosing all I have typed. On the second night we visited a restuarant called Everest where we had the biggest steak our eyes ever saw. We all ordered steak - bearing in mind that the Ïndians"on our trip dont see beef at all so we had to have a steak. Well Maurice and Brian ordered a steak each that must have been a foot long with chips/boiled potatoes, mushrooms and veggies piled high to the sky. We others also had steak - the steak was so juicy and tender we simply couldnt believe it. We also had apple pie and ice cream - heaven had come at last.... The following morning we were up ... read more
