It's almost been a week since we arrived back in the UK and life has been ticking over quietly. On Monday, Glynn made up for my crappy birthday in Buenos Aires by conjouring up a fantastic birthday cake with a big picture of Jish on it! Later, we spent a happy few hours looking at all the parcels we sent home on our travels and I'm chuffed to say that my kimono from Japan fits like a dream :-) Reading our postcards from all around the world has also been entertaining although it's made us both wish we were still out there on the road. On the practical side, Glynn's been odd jobbing around the house, doing all the stuff that his folks have been saving for a strong pair of hands - and they ... read more

So here we are again. And just to make us feel right at home, England cancelled the sunshine and turned on the rain for us. Well, it is a Bank Holiday weekend so I guess it was to be expected! Ours was a long and virtually sleepless journey to get back home but we couldn't have had a warmer welcome from Glynn's folks and his brother Lee at the bus depot in Birmingham. There's nothing like finishing a 2 day epic journey by stepping off a crowded bus, seeing some of your favourite people smiling up at you and pulling you into a big bear hug. Our trip home began with an expensive taxi ride in Buenos Aires at 9.30am. At the airport, we were peeved to find that the international departure taxes weren't included in ... read more

So Ive been really bad at keeping this up this term, though I know I should be doing a better job. Anyways, I had two huge essays due last Wednesday, so I worked on those non-stop for like 4 days after prepping to do them for a week. I have an exam next Sat that Ill be studying for, though Livia being here might be a distraction. I cant wait for her to get here on Monday!! Other than the assignments, weve all just been hanging out all the time. Its nice not having classes and just doing homework, we all get to spend a lot of time just hanging out. I know thats not what university's about, but as long as you do the work. Plus, its the times well remember, not the books. Anyways, ... read more

Man, Im not doing a good job with this. Basically Ive been meeting with my professors, getting things from the library and hanging out with everyone. Im not really sure what I did last Wednesday and Thursday, but I do know that we watched the Apprentice on Wednesday and I took a bunch of books out on Thursday, like 10 books, oh and we ordered Chinese after hanging out in the hallway for like an hour. On Friday I got up at a decent hour so I could renew a movie I needed from the lib. Melissa, Daniel, Chris and I were planning to go to Coventry, so then picked me up from the library and Melissa drove us there. She got her hair cut short, it looks really good. We got food from this great ... read more

So on Wednesday, I got up and chilled for a while in Melissas room. We hung out and eventually Jonny came back and we all watched his videos on myspace, they were hilarious. Then we chilled outside, the weather was so nice! Melissa was rearranging her papertrail of life into a folder, which kept blowing away, haha. Everyone came outside and I got too distracted, so I had to rush my reading before my cannibalism class. Class wasn’t too painful, partially because I knew it was the last one. Its so nice to be done with classes and just to have deadlines. After class I came back to the flat where Daniel was making dinner, bangers and mash, yummmmm. Kobi and I watched the Apprentice, it was really good. We ate dinner, and eventually saw David ... read more

Today Kevin and I went to watch Justin Timberlake in concert in Birmingham. We caught the train to Birmingham giving us plenty of time to get there as I had taken the day off work and Kevin finished work early. While we were walking around like mad people trying to find the NIA we saw lots of beautiful parts of Birmingham so look out for that entry in the near future, as we plan on taking a day trip out to Birmingham to do some sightseeing... PLUS they have one of the biggest malls EVER! so we will definitely be going there. Anyway once we found the NIA there were of course lots of young screaming girls everywhere! He had two starting acts, the first group I thought had some good beats and the people ... read more

Beginning the countdown now and what better time to do it than when you've spent the morning getting vaccinated and debating the merits of getting a private prescription for the "always fatal" rabies. Still cheaper than the last vet bill for the lads but then I should have expected that after their life insurance cost more than mine! At least I know where I stand in the grand scheme of things. Return journey from Acocks Green to Hall Green swift and uneventful. Made a point of savouring the smallness and ease of it all compared to the epic journeys ahead.... read more

So its been a while, like a long while. Im back in England and its great. I missed everyone soooooooo freaking much that I was so excited to get back to Uni. Since last week Ive had a lot of fun, but am not going to write in detail about it. Here are the high/low lights. -Realizing my project was due a week earlier than I thougtht, working on it hardcore for a week and getting it to the business office 2 minutes before the deadline after staying up all night to finish. This project was insanely difficult and way to advanced for what was taught in the class, but at least its finished and I did as much as I could have. -Weve spent a lot of time outside. We had a picnic last Wednesday, ... read more
