Hello! Ok, so just a quicky to get everyone up to date... I'm heading to New Zealand for the ski/board season, where i don't yet have a job, don't know how to ski or snowboard and have very little money in the bank - always liked a challenge! There is no fixed plan or route - i have an open ended ticket for 12months, which at the moment i will divvy up between NZ, OZ & HKG. I'm going to do my utmost to keep this blog up to date, partly so i get less hasssle from the folks ;-), but also please do take my touchdown in any destination as an open invitation to come and visit me! A quick apology to anyone who didn't know that i was going, or that i didn't get ... read more

On the sunny morning of 28th of May 2006 Erin and Sarah re-pack their ruck sacks for the 98th time and set off to Heathrow with their lovely boys (to help carry the heavy load, he he). Departure was a mixture of emotions, sad to be leaving everyone but at the same time excited and nervous about the adventure that lay ahead. After the never ending 10 hour journey we land in Mexico City and are welcomed by torrential rain and absolute chaos on the roads. Due to a string of scary stories relating to muggings and worse weather than experienced in the UK, we decide to head straight to the Pacific coastline in need of some sun (spoken like a true Brit) and the opportunity to relax into travelling life. We plan to see Mexico ... read more

Hey all, I'm just hanging out in Heathrow during my fun 7-hour layover before heading to Cairo.. I didn't know when I'd have internet next, so I thought I'd just drop in and say a quick hello... I can't believe the trip has actually started, I haven't slept in about 25 hours and I need to make it another 10 hours before I get to sleep. Hopefully, I'll then wake up in Cairo on their schedule.. but we'll see. I know I'm just in the airport, but London already seems expensive, everything looks to be the same price as in the US, but then you gotta multiply it by 1.8.. I just had a burger, fries and a small coke (no refills) for $20.. oh well, what can ya do.. I'll be in Egypt for 2 ... read more

We had lunch with Wayne & his dad then went to duty free. It was good bye time, which was sad/hard for me-this is the longest & furthest ive been from Wayne... We went thru customs ect & waited to board... The Flight! This was fun at first, so many movies to pick from not to mention the tv shows, music & games to play so we picked a movie each while we had a snack then 30 mins later lunch which was very nice & the tray was ... read more
