Well, I'm now trying out the photos thingy with my new camera, a A 5.2 Megapixel Fuji Finepix A370 which I bought from Currys.co.uk last week for half price at £129.99. I also bought a 512MB XD flash memory card for £49.99 so I'll have loads of room for piccies on my camera to get snap happy with enoy. These are photos from last weekend's V festival which I attended with my mates Richy Woo His beautiful wife Kelly Woo, her mate Sally and Zoe and Hannah, but they buggered off as soon as they got in so there aren't any pictures of them ;) ... read more

One week 2 go. I'm so excited. I keep wanting 2 scream! Just finished at school. Was sad 2 say goodbye to all the people I have worked with these last couple of years - I had some really good times at BW - but I am soooo relieved and happy to be leaving. It's definitely time to move on. Have been wishing away the weeks since I decided to go. Now I have one week 2 get my s*** together and see all my friends b4 I set off on my big adventure. Yes - alas it is true. My reason for living has been severly dented, as my favourite beverage cannot be ordered here (bar Allan Scott Savingon Blanc). I was gutted - walked into a coffee shop in Guilford where i was staying with my cousin, stated my request all I got was blank looks. me: "you know... like a cappacino without frothy milk on top" him: "a latte!" me: " ahh no.... less milk than a late" him: blank stare me: "can i get a cappacino then, with cinnamon" him: "only chocolate sorry" Sorry all this cultural experience, exploring the motherland and I ramble on about coffee, but at least I have a reason for going back to NZ right?? I arrived at Heathrow. Had a great reception from my cousin and then we had to ... read more

It's half 11, Ben has just shown up and we are hanging about my Mum's house waiting to go and watch Orient. This is going to be my last time at Brisbane Road for quite a while so it should be a fairly emotional one. I've been going for 17 years now and, despite the fact that they have never been anything other than awful the whole time, I could never love another club. I would never even take another club out for a quiet drink. Orient, and football in general, are going to leave a big hole in my life and it's one of those ones which I don't know how I'm going to be able to fill. I use football as a social lubricant for situations when I would otherwise be at a complete ... read more

So i'm slouching in a chair exhausted in the staffroom at school waiting for the day to begin. The form from hell awaits me. There are only 5 weeks to go and i counting every painful second i have left  in this sole sapping hole. Surprisingly i've not a single regret about my decision to quit this place where i have spent the last two years of my existance. Maybe i'm not looking forward to cleaning up the rented house i have called home and packing my few objects into a box. The cleaning process promises to be pretty intense. Despite this i can't wait for the 21st when i will be winding my way back to my beloved Cornwall (well for 3 days anyway). Somewhere along the way i've forgoten to enjoy life. Some aspects through an alchoholic haze have been enjoyable enough, but they ... read more

So my travel website so far consists of going into work and staying at home. I promise it will get better soon :) But I've been making the most of my time off - I've spent several hours playing my guitar with Weezer - well their CD. I've also played on my playstation 2 for hours on end - it's just like being a student again! I'm still debating on getting a round the world ticket as opposed to single flights. The plus side of the round the world ticket is that its cheaper, and my trip is more organised. The down sides are that I might end up rushing my trip when I don't really need to. I think overall the round the world ticket has it. So I'm looking for places to get one. Here ... read more

I have about 2 weeks left in Billericay - it's been my home for the last 18 months. But in order to see the world I've sold up and am moving out. I went to Chelmsford around lunch time - picked up a Lonely Planet guide to Baja California, looks fantastic whale watching, deserts, surfing and cycling. I will definetely make sure I visit there on my travels. I spents some time in Norsey Wood - one of the best features of Billericay, ancient coppiced woodland consisting largely of Sweet Chesnut. At this time of year spring is just kicking and vast swaves of Woodland Anemones carpet the ground. Usually I run around it but with my slight hangover a walk was all I could manage, got some nice pictures though. I've just been watching the ... read more
