Hey guys, its been a really quiet week for jordieand i, the weather doesnt seem to know whether it wants to be sunny or cloudy, the whole south western part of the country is on flood warnings or something yesterday, and winds of up to 80mph, lol, so all jordie and i have really done is watch a lot of topgear, played a fair bit of wii, and slept a fair bit! been a really good week just lounging about with nothing to do and not a care in the world! but all that changes tomorrow when we head to europe! and start losing our money at a tremendous rate! lol, going to be a blast! kicking off in amsterdam, 5 days there meting a couple of boys from back home, Travis and Lex, so thats ... read more

An adventure taking us across 12 countries, hitting 3 continents, 15 daring airplane rides, 6 months backpacking totalling a wopping 29,500 miles has sadly come to the end. 6 months travelling have given us both some unforgettable experiences, friends that we will forever share a bond with because of these experiences and an outlook on life that can only be achieved through the things we have seen and done. Yes I think its fair to say the Becs' have a passion for travelling. To name all our memorable experiences would take a wee while but it would be an injustice to not mention the likes of the Taj Mahal, The Great Wall of China, Angkor Wat Temples, Franz Josef Glacier, Tongariro Crossing, The Killing Fields, Whitsundays, Fraser Island, Milford Sound, The Kwai Bridge and of course ... read more

Hooray we did something yesterday! lol. photos are still on my camera and i'm to lazy this morning to find the doobywacka to get them off that and on to here. Yesterday was a fun day, i didnt try and poison anyone with tea, we went to loads of museums, and watched a game of rugby league at the neighbours place and i'm not sure if they'll speak to me again, teehee, kidding everyone, so yes we started at the tourist info bureau and found out that 7 museums iun the area and an art gallery (i'm not gay so didnt head there) are all free!!! so we started at, the maritime museum, which was ok, nothing special but had heaps of cool designed whale bone, and some coool info about the lighthouses and lightships they ... read more

Yay, still have no work, but dont care, yesterday we dropped off a heap more resume's in pubs and cafe's then came back home and relaxed, and today doing that all day! well we did stop in at a travel agent to work out what or where we're going in a few weeks, and i'm now checking out websites for flights as a one way ticket on the ferry to amsterdam is £190 as opposed to the return ticket of £33, ridiculous isnt it, and if we decide to not do the return journey bit, we will apparently become missing persons and be tracked on interpol or something, lol, yay so tempting to cause international search and rescue, teehee,. Nothing really exciting to report, jordie and i took Phillipa out to a local establishment last night ... read more

Gday all Well after our real first day of rest we went and visited Jules' uncles Cyril and Ralph and Gillian. We had a very nice dinner a drink and then back home again At about 1.00am while we were in bed we had an earthquake...and Auntie Ada it wasn't me falling out of bed as you first thought...LOL Apparently it was about a 4.4 strength and the epicentre was here in Hull. So we have had a couple of firsts here...the first time it snowed on us and the first time we were on the first floor of a building when an earthquake happened....cool huh? Well Wednesday is our last day in Hull so after packing and going to the post office to send a few things home (keep the weight down in our bags ... read more

Gday all Well it's getting close to the end of our holiday now. We leave Hull on Thursday morning our time and drive to London where we are staying at the Thistle Hotel at Heathrow Airport. So we thought we should actually go into Hull City Centre today to have a look around. We caught a bus in as apparently the parking is a bit hard in the city. The first place we stopped was the Tourist Information Bureau where a very helpful bloke pointed us in the right direction. Right across from there was the Maritime Museum which had some great displays on the whaling and fishing history of Hull. They built a lot of the world's whale boats here and they had a big fleet themselves. After a good look around we went to ... read more
