Ok, welcome to our travel blog! I thought I (Ames) would get this up and running before we actually set off, so the first destination you will be reading about is the wonderful and exotic... HULL! So only a few days until we fly - so we thought we'd try and get this up and running. Hi all, 4 days to go !!!! Started packing the old rucksac today 18kilos and still going (Caroline may have to carry the passports). There are still loads of people to say bye to and things are getting a little hectic. If we don't manage it all sorry. A big See ya to Neil. Cheers for making all the kit for this trip, thanks for making working at A8 an amazing experience (How will I cope without those crazy ideas of yours),lastly Good Luck with the new job, get rich we will hopefully see you in Thailand. After being amused by extraneous English town names like 'Stow-on-the-Wold' and 'Bourton-on-the-Water' I found myself driving north with Benny & his mate Matt to 'Kingston-Upon-Hull' when it dawned on me that they weren't really into the whole brevity thing here in the UK... Passing through 'Little-Rissington-of-Four-Score-unto-Twain' and 'Waddington-girt-by-the-Mound-at-the-Angle-to-the-Perpendicular-at-which-the-Mistress-of-the-Stile-did'th-Micturate'... (no, no really... i made them up...) we arrived in the afternoon at a city where the sky was closer to the ground than your average 5 year old- Hull. I think the only thing Hull is famous for is being bombed in the 2nd world war... that and it's record of having the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Europe! We went on a trio to the Rhineland, a nice way to celebrate Kasia's 30th. To make it a relaxing journey, we took the ferry from Hull, so we would only have a short overland journey from Zeebrugge.
