Hoi! Halluja! Es regnet endlich!! Und wie schön! Ausgiebiges, frischendes Regen! ... read more

After Bavaria, my next stop was Lake Konstanz to meet Stefan (an EADS praktikant that I met while working at Airbus), where we spent a night. The next day we went through Zurich, Lucern and the Alps on the way to Ticino which is in the south Switzerland. Just from the shops in the city, you can tell that Zurich is a pretty rich city and like the cities in Germany, it is very ordered. If you ever happen to be there make sure u go to the chocolate shop/café Sprugli…its got one of the best hot chocolates u will taste and I would know considering that’s the main drink I order. The day we traveled to Brissago the weather was pretty crappy and it was raining which meant that I didn’t get to see the ... read more

After 3 days of havy rain, the water level rose at least 1 m. With all the water, came plenty of wood. It was incredible to watch the power of water running down in huge streams. Here they have a Poster which shows the river and says: "So beautiful - So dangerous". Just last year a mother an her two children got caught by a shock wave running down the river bed. But today I enjoyed the almost dry weather by wathching the Red Bull Fly day. Cu, Stefan... read more

Ciao my Friends First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who supports me. I thank my Friends for the inspiration and my parents for the financial support. Although I saved most of the money during my studies its very helpful to have a little backup. You never know... My Friend Olli, just did this "Once around the World" trip last year and thanks to his experience I feel pretty calm about Japan and Australia. ---- None the less, it's going to be the best trip of my life. Right now I enjoy the sunny side of Switzerland in Tessin. Its probably one of my favourite places in Europe. Another Person who infected me with the Aussi-Virus is Vesna. Since I don't feel like putting in the effort right now for an extensive blog entry, I'll just post some of the photos from our trip to the Tessin (or Ticino in Italian) which is the Italian part of Switzerland in the south of the country. We were lucky to be able to use her uncle's apartment in the small city of Ascona which is situated directly above the Lake of Locarno. The weather was good for the most part though we did get soaked during one ride and it was usually somewhat hazy which prevented us from getting any really clear photos of the landscape but we had a great time anyway. We went biking on three days and hiking on two others so I certainly don't feel as though it was a typical, restful ... read more
