It's been a few days because it was the weekend and I've been having fun. We went out to the bars and discotecas here and they are pretty fun. I taught the bartender how to do body shots, obviously, which got us a couple of free rounds. The guys ehre are cute, not as cute as Madrid though. I miss th eboys from teh colegio. I may have met me future husband last night. We met at Toys, then he came with us to a discoteca (I don't remember the name). He told me he had to go back to Toys to fins his friend, and I offered to go with. (Yeah, I know, not smart leaving by myself without telling anyone. Welcome to my life.) 1st day of class. Only an hour an a half long. Jackpot. My teacher seems nice. Hopefully bu the end I'll be writing these journals in Spanish. Met more people yesterday, LOVE sangria, ate Burger King. Hah! Only because we were too afraid to use our Spanish in a restaurant. Tonight, some Spanish students form teh dorm (in Madrid) are making homemade sangria for us. mm. Went shopping iwth Lindsay yesterday. Esplored Madrid and, of course, got lost. I was kinda scared, but she kept cool. The only way we know home was through this dangerous park because the taxis didn't seem to know how to get to our dorm. We ran all the way throguh it carrying rocks to throw at attackers. haha Yes, I am a loser, but we did arrive home safely. Lindsay ... read more

Torn we want to continue the journey yet get back to loving arms quickly such irony. Spain is a blessing to all of us, she has given us treasures to keep in our memories and hearts for all our lives. Her people have given generously, her beauty will never be forgotten, and her history will make us want more. Hasta Luego but not Adios I shall return to be sure you have more beauty to experience and I have to make it a part of me!!! Muchas gracias Espana!!! Suzanne... read more

Hola Que Tal? Well let me tell you alittle about Fubol in Spain WOW they LOVE IT! When there is a big futbol (Soccer for us Americans) game don't expect much except for in pubs, bars and restaurants that have tv's. It is amazing how everything pretty much stops when futbol is on and you can here the cheering anywhere you are at. It is a passionate part of Spanish life and they cherish it. The UH gang went to the France/Spain game in the Irish Rover Pub in Salamanca what a grand time we had (even though Spain lost what a let down that was) oh well we enjoyed, got caught up in the passion of it all and after the let down continue to enjoy. We wore our specially purchased shirsts and colors for ... read more
