We had our cabin trip with Filologisk Forening (the humanities college student society that we're members of--they even let Dan the scientist in!). It was a pretty good time, save for a few bumps in the road--the first being the icy cold downpour that drenched us as we left to catch the T-bane (tay-bahnuh, i.e. metro) to Nationaltheatret. It seriously rained HARD for 5-7 minutes, the very same 5-7 minutes that we were outside. Funny how that works. So I spent the bus ride there quite damp. We arrived in Bærum after about an hour on the buses, and my how the scenery changed! Suddenly we were in a hilly, rural area, one that also happens to be the richest and most expensive municipality in Norway. Go figure. (Camilla's family lives here, but she swears they ... read more

well hello there! this past weekend we had two games one for the second division and one for the third. we played against a team called meldal for the first game(second div). we lost the game 28-26. it was a game we definately should have won. we didnt have trouble scoring goals on offence, defence was our weak point in the game. we were leading by 8 goals at one point in the game and had a few brain farts that lead to some fast breaks and them catching up. teams here are really good at capitalizing on mistakes and fast breaking. after the game i stayed with two girls from the team at one of their aunts house in trondheim! it was great, we watched movies and played guitar hero!! then on sunday we drove ... read more

Juhuuuu! No syns eg nesten tida går for fort!

I keep tryin' to get Dan to update but he's not having any of it. Well...first off I haven't been trying that hard. And secondly, he is swamped with classwork (guy can't get a break even in Norway). I was trying to quit hogging the blog, but I guess it's best I send a little shout out so you know what's up over here. Dan is trying to finish up a lot of stuff (including a take-home final exam--he's already done with one class!) before Friday so we can go on the cabin trip without worrying. I have stuff to do, too, but it's less pressing (as usual). This week ends one of my classes as well, but I have a long paper to write for it by December, and then a test. Hopefully I can ... read more

hey! so we had three games this weekend, 2 for the 2nd division team and 1 for the 3rd division. the first game was against a team named strinda, who was third last in the 2nd div. they were still a pretty good team. the other team started with a man up against our center back. the game was pretty close at half time the score was 16-12 for us. in the second half we pulled away for a victory of 36-27. high scoring!kim had a save 60% save percentage, she played really well. i played about 10-15 minutes in the game. the second game was against a team named tiller who was first in the 2nd div, they have been on top for the past few years but they have an average age of 30 ... read more

De volgende ochtend reden we ... read more

hello! another win here in molde! we played against a team called midsund. we started off the game playing a 6-0 defence. at first we got down by a couple goals but ended up being tied 13-13 by half. it seemed that all the shots from the other team came from the middle, they had a couple shooters, so we swiched up our defence to a 5-1 in the second half which definately helped, the other team didnt know how to react. we ended up pushing our lead to be up by about 8 or 9. but then with 5 minutes left we had a little brain fart and let some offensive mistakes turn into fast breaks for them. But in the end we pulled through with a win of 28-21! the game was really fast ... read more
