Day 66, 30.05.19. Thursday. Moved my camp yesterday from the marshland, the rain and snow made it very hard to move around without getting wet. Bought some trenchboots at a small shopping-mall and hoped to get a lift a couple days ago to pack my gear and head for a dryer area. I was already exhausted and still had cramps in both legs, the left one quite severe. Pain was shooting up my legs for each step and compensating by walking different didn't help much, the trenchboots was not designed for walking longer distances so I got cramps from that as well. I had to walk about 20 km before someone picked me up, and by the time I got back to camp it started hailing, snowing, raining and thundering like doomsday was coming. I had ... read more

Day 64, 28.05.19. Tuesday. Finally, I'm in the Finnforest! By one of the largest lakes in the area, Rysjøen. It was quite an effort to get here, sometimes not even as pleasant as I would like it to be. It started when I was about to take the train from Oslo after visiting my friend the philosopher. Had about 10 min to catch it after buying a go-pro from a nice fella that gave me a decent price for it. Bought the ticket and headed down to the platform, there was some commotion on the speaker that absolutely no one there understood, so I asked a lady-conductor about the train to Elverum, she said it was the next one after the current train had left, so I waited. The train left, but another came on the ... read more

Day 58, 22.05.19. Wednesday. Finally I'm on the move again! It's been a challenging two months as I almost threw in the towel several times, but I've healed and grown a bit more wise and is generally happy as I've been meeting a lot of good people around this area, some old friends and classmates and new friends that gave me the motivation to continue my journey and pursue my quest. Was driven by my newfound friend, the scrapper, to one of the largest towns in the vicinity, Kongsberg, at mid-day yesterday. He absolutely refused when I wanted to give him some monetary compensation for everything he'd given me. I tried at least, but he told me he would get cranky if I pushed the issue anymore. So I gave in and waved goodbye as he ... read more

Day 53, 17.05.19. Friday. Been a while since I wrote something, I've decided to try to write less days to limit the repeating thoughts and stuff that happens and write more each time instead. My friend didn't make it :( he made a mistake of some kind when it came to his thesis so he had to delay his presentation for a while longer. But he told me his best bet was the first week in June, so now we've agreed to meet up at Finnskogen(Finnforest). I was there a month by myself in 2011 before I went to Sweden to play poker at a casino in Gøteborg, just to check out how I was doing live instead of offline, after a couple weeks I found out I could actually make money on it if I ... read more

Day 46, 10.05.19. Friday. The weather has been bad for a long time now, with exeptions it's been cold and a lot of rain. Took the coldest bath I have ever experienced some days ago, I think it was monday. The day started as it did the days before, cold but not much wind. The temperature increased a bit a few hours after I woke up. I usually wake up around 6 am, eat breakfast and then go to sleep again for a few hours, wake up again and start exploring and photographing. However when I woke up it was snowing, and I had to get to the smalltown to get some supplies for the next few days. And I had to take a bath since I didn't want to go into the village smelling like ... read more

Day 45, 09.05.19. Thursday. As the weather forecast predicted it's raining a lot and should rain all day and tomorrow as well as in the morning at saturday. From monday I'll see some nice weather and it should start getting warmer again after the polar low-pressure system hit parts of western and moved towards eastern and southern Norway a couple weeks ago. It got down to 6 below again and the nights have been very frosty, daytime has been snowy, haily and rainy. Met a guy a couple days ago when I was walking to scout out a new place to camp out. Needed a new place not so close to the road and a more secluded one, just three days ago I was walking towards my camp and noticed there was a car standing still ... read more

Day 42, 06.05.19. Monday. Found a small tic-nymph on my abdomen on the left side last evening. It's been there for at least 12 hours as far as I know, checked it out several times today and there's no red ring around the bite yet. Still I feel a bit exhausted, could be several things, the tic included. Could be that I've frozen the last 4 nights and been eating a bit less, could also be vitamin deficiency. So I bought some eggs which will give me all the amino-acids I need, and some fish oil called tran. Gonna eat eggs and drink tran for a few days and see if my shape gets better. Most likely A, D or E vitamin that I'm lacking, or maybe some minerals like sinc, iron or magnesium. Today it's ... read more

Day 37, 01.05.19. Wednesday. Moved my camp a few kilometers north-east last friday, some people I'm not familiar with have seen my camp so it's wise to move within a week in case some of them decides to give my camp a visit while I'm away. I'm not hard to spot, running around with a bright blue wind-jacket and a funny hat that is made by the indigenous people of Peru. My guess is that I'm easily identified from a distance of a kilometer or maybe two. Thinking of moving camp today as well, need a sunnier place and there are some type of small black insects here that crawl everywhere, they look like a ladybeetle-larva only that they're metallic-black and much smaller. I've also found them on my late cat occationally, but never came around ... read more
