Ahhh... Lyon, so peaceful and relaxing, and so insanely hot it istne even funny. Seriouisly, I am dying here. Though it is a nice switch from the cold rain in Scotland and England, I am not used to it being so hot. Sweltering.... "Im melting, melting! oh what a world!!!!" Yeah, so thats the weather here. Very hot - if you didnt get that before...- We left PAris yesterday, sigh.... but we had an awesome timle there and I got rto see the eiffel tower which was something I had been wanting to do for years and years, so I am satisfied. We took a train to Lyon, it was a tgv, Trains de grandes vitesses or in english "a very fast train" It livved up to its name as it was indeed very fast. I ... read more

Sigh, it is our last night in lovely Paris. We are sad. :( So last night I set my alarm for about 7:30, because we wanted to get up early to avoid the crazy tourist crowds. It went off, and I tried to get Sarah up, but she was like "5 more minutes". Okay. So 5 minutes later I tried to wake her up again and she was like "15 more minutes". So I snoozed for a bit, then at around 8:30 I tried her again. "Lets just sleep till 9". Well, when we finally stumbled into the light of day it was about 10:30. Hmm... sneaky... Today we took a day trip to Versailles where we saw le Chateau (not the store, the castle). On the way I tried some French coffee because I haven't had my morning fix for ... read more

Yeah, we are still in Paris, but this internet s so cheap, and we keep finishing up the day so much earlier than in London, that this just seems like the best thing to do. Today was a fun day. We had planned last night to be waking up at around 8:00, and so we set the alarm as such. It went off as planned, however, I insisted that, as I was very tired, we sleep for five more minutes. They passed far to quickly, so I aksed for another ten.... needless to say, we woke up at 9:45.... yeah, go us. Its okay though, we needed to sleep in a bit. So it was good. After we woke up, we made our way to the train station and off we went to Versailles. This was ... read more

So far Paris is the greatest city ever. The people are SO nice (partly because of Sarah's ample bosom I think, but hey, at least they are civil), there is so much to see and do and there is a very relaxing mood about the place that makes you feel like just sitting and chilling out, preferably while eating my new favourite dessert, strawberry tartelettes YUM. Today we woke up quite early, to the chagrin of Sarah, and took the Métro to the Louvre. We stayed there for about 5 hours or so and admired all the art. I'm not much of an artsy type person, but some of the exhibits were really cool. We went into the Egyptian art gallery and checked out some cool things like sarcophagus heads and such, and the Napoleon exhibit ... read more

I have returned! So, once again I will apologise for the cut off on the last entry, stupid fascist computer... trying to stop me from expressing myself.... Anyway, today was a very good day, except the whole part where I had to get up at 7:30. Early mornings should be abolished... (if and when I rule the world... the first thing to go...) So we woke up today, and got dressed and such. I am so in love with our hostel this time! It is just so quaint. Another bonus is that it is clean, which, I actually came to realise aids in my cockroach count for the trip being as low as it is, a wonderfully fabulous ZERO!!!! I cannot expres my joy that I have not yet seen even one trace of a roach. ... read more

Sarah is already well in the midst of writing her journal on these godforsaken keyboards, she has much more patience than I, so instead I will just say that we are now in lovely Paris, so far my favorite city (although they were all great!), last night was the Bastille Day celebration, so we saw an amazing display of fireworks over the beautiful Eiffel Tower. Today we are planning on going to Montmartre and seeing Sacré Coeur and the Moulin Rouge, among other things, YAY!!! So until I find a proper keyboard, here are some more photos! Enjoy!... read more

Okay, it's me again, but this time I have a longer time to figure out this ridiculous keyboard - every letter is in the wrong place and it took me forever to find the @ sign. Yeesh. So last we wrote we were still in London, staying at that godforsaken hostel. I need to vent about it, so here are all the horrible things in point form: Our beds looked like they were picked up at a garage sale, 1/2 price; they were squeaky and uncomfortable and the top bunks didnt have railings so Sarah damn near rolled right off the bed. The carpet looked as if it had also been picked up at a garage sale but this time for free and nobody has ever bothered to vacuum since. This horrible girl in our room ... read more

Hey all! Sorry for the delay in updating, but we have just been so busy, what with plays, trains and towers, and other such business. Before I stqrt I would like to warn everyone that if this is full of spelling mistakes, it is not cuz im dumb, its because keyboards in frace are arranged differently and so i may press something without meaning to. Like the a is where the q should be and vice versa....wierd Now, to the events of the pqst while. Last we left off, we were on our way to see Les Miserables. OH MY GOD!!!!! That was by fqr the coolest thing I have ever seen. It was absolutely brilliant. Everything qbout it was amazing. No offence to qnyone who ,ay read this that was in our production, but we ... read more

Geo: 49.5059, 2.63746My Moroccan adventure started in Lille, where I was studying for a term at the uni. Lille's a great place and 'the Leeds group' real and adopted were fantastic. It was a lovely relaxing few months. Lille was City of Culture that year and there was loads going on. There was a beautiful park where we used to chill after lessons with a free zoo and porcupine. But by far our favourite past time was sitting under the 'foret suspendu,' sipping coke (!), waiting for the group to gather :)... read more
