Hello all. Well Wilcox has finally entrusted me to write one of these blog thingys so here goes.... After reading Sarah's last blog i feel it necessary to inform you all that although I slept through breakfast after a night on the booze with a friend from home (Redford), leaving Sarah to do all of breakfast, she got her own back in spectacular fashion on new year's day. Not only did she sleep through breakfast but in a cruel and bitter twist slept til 11 o clock leaving yours truely to do the lion's share of the work that morning-i s'pose i've got one in the bank now for the next time i feel like lieing in. Now i've got that rant out of the way,i can continue with season stuff........ Firstly, calm has been restored in ... read more

Oh my God! I have just been followed here by a wolf! I was so scared. At first I thought it was an Alsatian and still not best pleased seeing as I hate dogs and have to cross the road to avoid them. However, when I got closer I realised it was a giant wolf! It followed me all the way to Powder Monkey, where I am now. I hope it's not like the littlest hobo and waiting outside for me... Anyway, Merry Crimbo and a Happy New Year to everybody! I hope you have all had a fab time over-indulging and escaping work for a few weeks. We have been so busy here that it has flown by in a bit of a blur although that's probably a good thing as we got a little ... read more

Hello all, Well what busy week we have been having here in Val. It has actually gone pretty slowly and has felt a bit like being on holiday. It will be very weird when our first guests arrive tomorrow as we have taken over the chalet at the mo with beer chilling on the window sill and ipods hooked up to the stereo. I don't think we have said yet who we are living/working with. In our chalet there is Chris the manager who has just graduated from Bath and Nick an Aussie guy who was living in London. In the other chalet is a couple called Mel and Russ from Bodmin. So far all is well with no big arguments or fights to report. The first massive event of the week was the supermarket practise ... read more

Hi guys, Well we have finally made it here in one piece after our epic journey. Let's begin with that shall we... After a few days at home chilling out we had managed to cram all of our wordly goods into our rather rammed bags and off we went on the train from Warrington to London, well sort of. Typically it happened to be the day of the tornadoes etc so the power cables for the trains went down when we were only 5 min away from MK. We sat there for an hour, then reversed back to Rugby where everyone was walking around on the platform aimlessly. We were eventually told to go even further north to Nuneaton where we were supposedly meant to get a train to Leicester and then change for London. So ... read more

Hi All Had a really good week with loads of skiing and lots of social stuff happening. Thursday was the company ski rally and most people did it in fancy dress which was a great laugh, then there was a BBQ etc. After a big night out at Melting Poto(ur usual haunt) we were going for the bus and one of my mates fell over on ice and used me to cushion his fall! I really hurt my shoulder and hip but went to work for the next 2 days and did everything one handed! i finally got to the doctors and he has now signed me off work for 6 days as i have pulled all the tendons in my shoulder. So no more skiing for me and i want to come home this sunday ... read more

Hi All My 5 weeks in Tignes has passed so quickly and i'm loving it. Only 2 weeks left before I head home so trying to make the most of the snow and socialising. My skiing has really improved and feeling quite confident now, still not going to do any black runs yet though! Weather has been pretty good for the last week and hoping it's going to stay like that. Took a trip to Val D'Isere the other day and went shopping which was good then skiied back. Will hopefully get a night out there too before i leave. Missing everyone back home though and looking forward to seeing you after the 23rd. Added some other random photos. See you all soon Jx... read more

Today we have travelled to see my french brother Raphael! Woke early, then caught a train from Part Dieu to Voiron, where Raphael met us off the train (Raphael & his gorgeous little daughter Justine that is!) We drove up to his home, which is at 800m alititude, where we had the best lunch, with cheese & wine, and pastis, and beer! then to top it off we tried Chartreuse! so we have been very easy going all day! lucky we took some photos of the snow topped peaks early, as a thick mist came over when we were having lunch leaving it all to the imagination. raphael and clair (and justine) took us to the place where they make the Chartreuse. We had a tour and saw a lot of barrels... and a super cool ... read more

Tonight was Pimps and Prostitutes night. As you'll see from the photos it was the boys who made most of the effort dressing up and loved dressing in women's clothes! Had a really good night with lots of laughs - it's just unfortunate that i was working at 7am the next morning. Didn't stop me staying out til 3am though! Jill x... read more

Today we all skiied down to La Daille for Jemma's birthday lunch - there was about 18 of us so had a good laugh. Kirsty managed to entertain me all the way down the slopes with her starfish impression and there was some tree hugging and she threw herself at a wall to stop! We had staff dinner then Jemma got her birthday cake. Her boyfriend Matt had made her a rude cake with working parts. We went out to Melting Pot at night for a dance aswell. All in all a fantastic night! Enjoy the photos Jx... read more
