We leave Nice and head south to an island called Porquerolles. We take tram two then tram one to get to the train station Nice Ville. The train takes us to Toulon. In Toulon we take a train to Hyers. In Hyers we take a taxi to the port at Tour Fondue. At the port we take a ferry to Porquerolles. The island town is small, we walk to our hotel which is five rooms above a restaurant. We spend two nights here. The room is small, there are ants n the room and I wonder when the last time the hard wood floors were cleaned. I wear my flappers when in the room. We were off to our next destination in the South of France, this time the train ride was more enjoyable...maybe because it was only a few hours or maybe because we actually had a seat of our own. When we arrived in Hyères we were a little too early to check into our timeshare (Thanks Aunt Sue and Uncle Brendon for setting that up), so we sat outside ate lunch, played cards etc. When we checked in there was a bit of confusion over our booking but we were able to get our room and settle in for the week. Yazılarımı yazarken, Hyeres le ilgili espriler habire kafama takılıyor.. İstanbul'da Çengelköy de oturuyorum …bir de burasını sevdim …Buranın adı da Hyeres.. Hava bir açıp bir kapıyor… Burada bir gün geçirsem iyi olacak diyorum.. Deniz alabildiğine lacivert ve çok fazla yelken önümüzde süzülüyor… Öğlene doğru, karikatür kılıklı bir İtalyan ,dev gibi kiralık karavanı ile yanımdaki yere geldi.. Yardımcı olmaya çalıştım.. Friday 15TH October 2010 Moved about an hour along the coast today to a campsite on a promontory at La Tour Fondue near Hyeres. This is the most southerly point of the Cote D’Azur and is very popular with the diving and watersports fraternity. The Tour Fondue ( the melted fort ) is closed but from the beach and harbour you get a good view of the Iles D’Hyeres a popular destination for day trippers. Saturday 16th October 2010 After lunch we set out on foot to explore the area. The promontory has large salt pans which are home to wading birds particularly flamingos.
