Geo: 55.6763, 12.5681Apparently there is big house in Nørrebro (our neighbourhood) that's a youth collective (called Ungdomshuset) & is let out to students - but it's prime real estate & was sold to someone a few years ago who now wants to renovate & use it for something else, so the students have been given notice to leave. Naturally being students they protested (peacefully) on the Saturday of the last weekend of Sept. & that was all fine - but apparently one has to tell the cops 1st if one is protesting so they can close the road etc. which they did for the Sat.- so anyway they decided to have another one on the Sunday at the last minute but didn't apply for the cop permit quick enough (or something), also one is not allowed ... read more

A week ago, I went on an excursion with 10 others from my building and friends of ours. The group drove in two cars (European cars of course, so quite a cramped ride for 10...). Hamburg was the first stop, but I didn't leave with the group on Saturday because I was going to another Awakenings on Saturday night in Amsterdam. So the rest of the group went to Hamburg and I went to the show. I'm glad I got to fly to meet up with them, I saw pictures of the car ride, and it looked cozy to say the least... On Saturday night, the concert was good. It wasn’t as amazing as the last time (Dad was right, it can never be as good as the first...), but I still had a great time. ... read more

Geo: 55.6763, 12.5681Saw The Roots .... & EPMD ...Were probably the oldest people there but not obviously so - as in the other punters weren't teeny boppers. The Roots brought the house down, from the angle we were at it was weird to see all the movements of people on the balcony to the music, mostly head bopping. It was in a club called Vega which is good with a 70's decor thing going on & is a cross between Red Box & Vicar St in Dublin. After The Roots some of them did a dj set & they were mingling with the crowd (incl. right beside us) this would not happen in Dublin.
