What to do in 24 hours in Mumbai? Markus was keen on paying this megacity another visit. I, Nina, not so much. After the peaceful and relaxing time in Goa, it was to hard to dive into the noise and pollution of Mumbai. But as the flight to Delhi directly from Goa was quite expensive at that time of the year, we had to take a flight via Mumbai anyway. So it was ok to spend 1 day and 1 night in this city. The year before we had found a great deal for a hotel in Andheri with free pick up at the airport. The same hotel this time was too expansive, so we booked another option which was just around the corner. But it turned out that this option was a terrible one. If ... read more

We left Vrindavan in the early evening by car. We found a special price for a taxi, so it was cheap - and fast. From Vrindavan to Delhi airport, it is not really a delight to travel this passage by public transport. So in the end, we ended up cheaper with the car, we think. We had a bit of a stupid flight. At 11pm we flew to Mumbai. There we had 4,5 hours to sleep on the airport and then we caught an early flight to Goa. It was the cheapest flight and we saved a night somewhere! Good deal. The bad thing was, that Markus was really feeling sick and also I, Nina, had some minor troubles with my stomach (but nothing serious). Ones we hit the ground in Goa, stepped out of the ... read more

We left Jaipur early in the morning. At 9.30 am we had to be at Delhi Airport to pick up our luggage. We arrived perfectly on time and even had time for a roadside breakfast and a chai. Once at the airport our first challenge: we had to call the service desk to tell them to bring out the luggage as we were not allowed to enter the airport without a ticket. So we went to different service desks outside the airport to ask if someone could make a call for us (we even offered them to pay for the call). But they all gave us the same answer: during work they are not allowed to make phone calls and they do not have a phone for that. Finally we ended up on one end of ... read more

In the meantime we have developped a certain routine. The night before we received an email that our luggage is now in Delhi and not in Moscow anymore. So we decided not to buy any more clothes (one set is enough). At least, in the meantime there was a chance to get our luggage back. The problem was, that the service desk was still not answering any phone calls and further emails. So our luggage was in Delhi waiting to reach us and we could not instruc them what to do. But buying new clothes would have meant to carry more stuff with us later on. So back to our routine: before going to bed, washing our clothes, hanging them right under the fan - and it works. The next morning, they are dry! Like this ... read more

To be honest, we had mixed feelings about our trip to India. If it was not for the inauguration of the Bhakti Marga temple and ashram by our spiritual master Paramahamsa Vishwananda we would have probably stayed at home. But attending such a ceremony with your own living master in the holy city of Vrindavan is a once in a lifetime gift! So it was a great reason to go to India again. Despite what had happened during our last trip (when Nina ended up in hospital , when we visited a city that consited only of garbageand when we decided to make a big break of India.....) we booked a flight, applied for the e-visa and packed our backpacks. The inauguration ceremony for the temple and ashram was supposed to take about 3 days. Therefore, ... read more

We cannot really say the reason why - but we love this city. Every time we are there, it is different but equally amazing! In general, we are not big city fans. Normally, we prefer nature and quiet spots. But from time to time it is also quite nice to spoil yourself with some big cityoffers, right? There are some big (and smaller) cities in this world, we really like: Buenos Aires, Madrid, Cape Town, Wellington..... well, and Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur is not exactly a pretty city. But it is an incredable mixture of culture and religions. In all the different parts of town there is a different vibe and it is changing all the time. So here we were again! Ready to have an amazing time again. And so much about the changes. When ... read more

Ipoh - beeing in Malaysia mainland for the 4th time now, we have never thought of spending time in Ipoh. For us, this city is just the getaway to the Cameron Highlands (which is amazing!). But as Paramahamsa Vishwananda whom we were following through Singapore and Malaysia held a darshan in Ipoh, we were confronted with the city for the first time. And we have to admit, there are quite some things to do there that will keep you busy for 1-3 days. In the morning we took a bus from Butterworth to Ipoh - it was a freezing cold (malaysian aircon....) but easy ride. The bus station in Ipoh is out of town, so we took a prepaid "teksi" to our accomodation, the Shamrock Guesthouse . We took the smallest and cheapest room available. The ... read more

From Singapore we had a short flight with Tigerair north to Penang in Malaysia. Last time we came here was in 2012 to celebrate Chinese New Year. Being here in one of our favourite places in Malaysia felt great. We love the island not only for the famous food but also for the amazing temples, the nature and the super friendly people. As we got the information that our spiritual master would have a flight to Penang just 1 hour later, we waited at the airport together with some devotees from Penang. It was lovely to meet our malaysian family and we immediately felt close. They were really excited as most of them met Guruji for the very first time. It was a joyful welcoming and we were so thankful we could be a part of ... read more

A month after our wedding it was time for our honeymoon. Our spiritual master Paramahamsa Vishwananda is currently travelling through Asia for quite some time - so we took the chance and booked a dirt cheap flight with Turkish Airlines to Singapore. His teaching is "Just love" - well, and this is what a honeymoon is about. As he had married us, we really wanted to spend our honeymoon with him. So enough good reasons to start our short honeymoon of only 9 days with a 18 hour journey to Singapore. But the journey went smooth and finally we arrived early in the evening. Well, Singapore.... I, Nina, had been here 6 years ago. In 5 days I had really seen a lot of Singapore and to be honest, it was not my favourite city. It ... read more

As the last days have shown clearly, summer is finally over and autumn has started. Summer here in Switzerland this year was a sad affair - it started rainy and continued like this through june and july, it was cold most of the time, but since august, it was brilliant and hot. As we had a lot of work to do, we did not travel much and mainly stayed at home. But hey, this was our first summer in our new home. And as we live where others come for holiday, it was just brilliant to enjoy a summer at home. Therefore, we had decided to explore the mountains close to our home. Some of them are indeed walking distance from home. Others are a short drive of about 20 minutes. Yes, although when you live ... read more
