Everyone is excited to be leaving and heading for Italy. I am anxious to see Lufthanza's new Airbus 380. That is a big plane. 10 across seating. But, I will say it was a very smooth ride. Took off around 4PM Saturday and was in the air 10 hours, and landed at 1:35 Sunday afternoon, of course my body thought it was early Sunday morning. So, if you are taking morning and evening medication, just how do you figure out when it is morning or evening? We had dinner at the beginning of the trip, and breakfast somewhere inbetween. Grand Cayman - 2012 Day 6 After breakfast today, we decided to go to the Bodden Town festival. We had heard from one of the vendors downtown, that there was going to be festival at the Bodden Grounds. We had to find it first, but we waned to go since lots of vendors and chefs were going to be there letting the visitors and guests taste the various local food. Some of the chefs were from the 7 Mile Beach main international hotels. After that, a trip downtown to check on t-shirts for those folks back home. Day 4 - Encourage the Economy Today, we had breakfast, and began our trip to Georgetown, to help encourage the local street vendors, cafes, souvinier shops and just about everyone with their hand out. We had free parking (worth less than $4) at the Bayshore Mall because we had an Andy's rent-a-car. There were two boats in the harbor, so lots of folks were ashore. A visit with Launa, the jeweler that we met in September, recognized us and said today the people were very rude. She didn't know where the boats were from, but I did see the Carnival Magic from Galveston in port. The other Carnival was a smaller ship. I guess you might be wondering Grand Cayman, again? If you could see how pretty the water is, how nice everyone you visit with is, you too would come again. Today was Day 1, where we pack up, leave home, head for the airport, wait for the plane, and then wait to land. This time, with Debby in the Gulf, we thought the ride might be longer, to fly around the storm. But with the heat so bad in Houston, the rough ride was taking off, and climbing. Heat thermals bounced the plane up, down, left right, pretty good until we got off the ground for about 45 minutes. Then, we landed, went through customs, got the bags sniffed by the 4 legged agent. The final day of hunting the marshes around South West Louisiana started like all the other days. "Rise and Shine" at 4:15, breakfast in the dinning room-mall area at 4:30 - 4:45 to meet your guide and hunting buddy, and from there decide what time you leave for the blinds. Some blinds are closer, so you can leave later, others are further away, and have a longer boat ride, so you leave earlier. We left at 5:00 this morning with Brady or guide. He is the same Brady that had Mark and me yesterday. Today he is going to have Thad and me.
