Beautiful
Those cliffs look gorgeous! That's the one thing I've always wanted to see in Ireland.

Sounds like a great day
that castle sounds cool. I know what you mean about the triangle circular stair case. no matter how far on the outside you take you still end up slipping and taking 3-4 stairs on the back of the heel like skies.

Haven't seen any.
Of course, the sheep are all just grazing freely. No round up until later in the summer, which is where I would think you would see them being worked and separated by "brand".

Oldest Pub in Ireland
It was built in 1198, so a lot has happened within those walls. We didn't go in, just passed by.

Yukon River
Some of those river shots looked more like beach shots. The turquoise blue and white sand (or looked like white sand)

737 that lands on gravel runway.

Day 5
Why did you have to go through customs? The runway looks solid in that picture; could you tell it wasn't concrete when you walked on it?

Scenery
Thank you for sharing Richard. I am enjoying reading about your trip and seeing the pics. By the way, Dawson City reminds me a lot of Silverton, Colorado. Streets are the same but it is a silver mining town. Lots of great history in these places. I Love it!

Day 3 & 4
Feels on Wheels. Haha! That's good. I definitely would be on 4 wheels with doors riding through Alaska. I guess the train is pretty safe. Crazy to think of a bear approaching and taking your chances by curling up in a ball. Is that what they say to do? 20 feet. That's a lot of snow. Summer time is definitely the time to visit. Glad you found someone who had needles to get you through. That picture with Denali in the background...I didn't even see the mountain until I read the caption. In those were clouds. Huge! Or YUGE as Trump would say. If you ever do have to pan for gold for a living all you gotta do is set up a shop with supplies and call the tourist in to help out. Ha! I didn't realize there is still a lit of gold mining happening up there. Nice pics of the flowers. I never thought of Alaska as a place with lots of flowers. Riza would like that one by the post. Love that snow mobile.

Work area for restoration of Cathedral

Cathedral
Do you know why the cathedral has less damage than pretty much anything around it? It was a decision the allied bomber pilots made. Nothing looked the same when they returned with a fresh payload, so they decided to leave the cathedral alone. It was big enough to see from the air and an easy landmark to communicate to each other on where they need to drop the next round.
