Marry me girl be my fairy to the world Be my very own constellation A teenage bride with a baby inside Getting high on information And buy me a star on the boulevard It's Californication I like to compare California to an amusement park. If god create the world in seven days, he was in a funny mood when he was drawing California x's and o's. It simply has everything. From the ugly to the beautiful, from the beach to the ski, from the wine to the beer, it has it all. If you are under 18 years old. Please don't read. For all lawyers out there, this blog is purely descriptive. My purpose is to show the world a specific situation. By no mean I am doing something illegal... Please do not be offended by my tone or the topic, I am expressing an opinion and I sure hope that I have the right to do so. Sitting in that damn car I had no idea of what was about to happen. Anyway, all I was thinking about were my knees. I had not felt them for the last 30 minutes. We had spent the afternoon at the At&T ball park. What a beautiful stadium. I really think the stadium is a bigger attraction that the team playing in it. Baseball is the boringness sport in the ... read more

If you ever wondered what three guys would buy at the grocery store before starting a road trip, this is what we bought: Three two feet long sandwiches A pack of granola bars A couple bananas The biggest peanut butter format One sandwich bread One pack of cheap cookies 2L of water and orange juice Three donuts So, with what we thought was food for the next week. We sat in our rental car, A Chevy Aveo. We sat there for a couple minute eating what would become our favorite meal in the next weeks, peanut butter and banana sandwich. We were sitting in complete silence thinking about the same thing, how can we look sharp driving a damn Aveo. I can't remember when we left, but a couple hours later we were on the 93, ... read more

May I never wake up from the American dream. - Carrie Latet Las Vegas is a funny place. Just think of what heaven would look like at night. Really... I am serious. Think of a bunch of clouds changing colours every second or so. Las Vegas is probably the world capital of neon lights. If you want to make money, starting a light company is Nevada is an option you should consider. I struggle to understand this place and spent most of the ride out of Nevada thinking of how it all begun. By the way, there is not much to look at in the middle of the desert. Anyway, this is my theory, one day a native American chief kicked out one member of his tribe and told him he could come back only if ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Greater London » Westminster April 2nd 2012

I suggested a doubt, that if I were to reside in London, the exquisite zest with which I relished it in occasional visits might go off, and I might grow tired of it. JOHNSON. " ... No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." I don't know where or how to start. I guess I should first tell you what is behind it, but I can really say where it started. Well, I mean. It started from a dream and a decision. A dream of freedom. An easy decision. Again, I learned that the hardest picks are most of the time, the obvious one. I did not sold everything and left. Neither I save money for the trip of my ... read more

Who wants to live with one foot in hell just for the sake of nostalgia? Our time is forever now! ~Alice Childress The friends I have met have departed, now it's just me and my backpack in Istanbul. I am having tea on the boat bringing me back to Asia. I can help myself, but being sad. For the first time in 50 months I am thinking about home. Will my friend be happy to see me again? Alto I love traveling by myself, I am not much of a solitary. I don't do well alone. As soon as I am having a foot outside the boat two guys jump in front of me. Someone alone with a big backpack is some sort of fresh meat over here. The same guys have been offering me a ... read more

Europe » Greece » Attica » Athens March 26th 2012

A very smart person once said that what matter the most while traveling is the people you meet, not the things you see. To describe Greece is to evoke enhancing images of azure blue seas, magnificent beaches with crystal clear waters, mountains right with the scent of thyme, picturesque villages and the incomparable, magnificent islands. The question was: how to have a taste of Greece in only two weeks? We could have spent all this time in the Cyclades, but I told myself I will come back and give it a sufficient amount of time. We chose to visit Corfu, Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete and Rhodes. First stop Corfu. Happy to be out the boat. We have been talking about visiting this country for so long. We are waiting for the bus to pick us up and ... read more

I have been home since August. I should have written this blog some time ago, but I never felt I could do it or I should say, do it right. Fifty months on the road were coming to an end. I knew I had only two months to go and I couldn't see myself spending three hours on a computer. I really wanted to do everything I dreamed of doing before I left. You know, before you leave for the first time, you are making a list of all you want to do and obviously most of it remain undone by the end of your trip. I was at one of those dead ends. For the first time in four years I was feeling the time passing by. I read that time was the last enemy. ... read more

Europe » Macedonia » Skopje August 20th 2011

Hey folks, I just spend the last month in Macedonia and Greece trying to understand what should be the name of what certain people call FYROM and others Macedonia. The Greek does not like that region a lot and could not stop debating as soon as you say the name Macedonia. In the country itself, must people have better things to talk of and some are making everything in their power to upset the Greek the most they can. Building an enormous statue of Alexander the Greet was a great way to do so... If you take out the politics (which is the main subject in that part of the world), you will discover an amazing country, full of stunning landscape, charming mix of culture. In Macedonia there is something for everyone. If you enjoy hiking ... read more

I love the train. I remember how excited I was when boarded one for the first time. There is no better way of transportation. Well, I thought so... Serbian trains are a whole new adventure. So, we are on our way to the train station. It is way too early in the morning. I am having a coffee and checking my e=mail in the Internet cafe close by. From my computer's chair I have a perfect view on the mess coming. The train is just a mix of wagon from all across Europe. I now know what they are doing with their very old trains. Inside, people are smoking in the corridors and children's are running and jumping everywhere like it is the first time they are allowed to do so. I am looking for a ... read more
