I'm Speechless As I'm jotting down last minute names for Erin's Sept. 19, wedding in Memphis, my tear ducts overflowed, thinking about that young Josh I used to see after school, arriving in our 3rd grade room at CIS. I have enjoyed the journey, if only through the fabuouls blog. All I can say is "WOW". Love you all! Pam and Tom
building with a purpose Great to hear from you. I like your house and am impressed with the craftsmanship. We really miss you in Arusha/Monduli. Dr. Dan
Everything looks great! I really liked the shopping job you did especially the prices! I thought we were doing good
to just turn two horse stalls in our barn into a workshop for Bobby. I don't think after that we would ever tackle the
job of building something to live in.

HOME AGAIN IN HICKMAN IT'S NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU. SEEING THE PHOTOS OF THE BACK OF YOUR NEW HOUSE, DOES MAKE ME MISS OUR BASEMENT IN OUR COBLE HOME HOUSE. WE USED IT NONSTOP. WHEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE, WE'RE ALSO INTERESTED IN THE WEDDING DETAILS. ERIN IS GETTNIG MARRIED SEPT 19 IN MEMPHIS TO A WONDERFUL GUY. WHAT TYPES OF JOBS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR NEXT? YOU TWO ARE FULL OF SURPRISES. I REALLY THINK PEOPLE IN THE USA WOULD ENJOY THE QUILTING GET TOGETHERS. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, PAM
Looks great Please send us your new address. Looks great. Looks like I should have subbed out some of our house to you all. And my old computer monitor is not very color accurate, because it seems to show Anthony with some grey.

pictures ok ... the lastest blog we had a new camera. A nikon d60 slr 10.2 megapixels with a 200 zoom
all of the pictures previous we used a pocket size Pentax 5 megapixel with a 10x zoom
we have been very impressed with both of these cameras and what clarity you can get ... hope this helps!
How close do you get? Hi there
I am impressed of your pictures. To get an idea on how close you get to the animals I would like to ask you which lens do you use? Which level of zoom or what is the focal length in mm's ?

The life of Nancy Shasta, thank you so much for your kind words concerning my dear friend Nancy (your Aunt Janie) Her wisdom and enouragement has helped me through many dark nights and long days. I miss her so however am so grateful for having been blessed with her friendship.
Please do stay in touch and I will do the same.
Always, Althea
tribute Nancy was exactly as you wrote. I enjoyed so much reading how she had touched your life. She was a very special and unique person as her sister Peggy is also.
Full of Life Nancy and I became friends through her sister Peggy. She was smart, accomplished, compasionate, strong, sometimes funny and an excellent quilter. She is missed.
P.S. I went to Africa in '67; Ethiopia, Kenya and Tansania and loved it - primitive as it was. I hope to return someday. I'm sure I'll be surprised at the changes. God bless you on your ventures.
Aunt Janie Shasta - I have not met you, but have met your sister, Tonia, your mom, Aunt Peggy, and of course Aunt Janie. As I recently told your aunt - Nancy's relationships inspored me to take that extra step in my own relationships. I have soaked in the stories of your family because of the continuation beyond the immediate. You are truly blessed. Rejoice - for this is not an insignificant thing to possess. So many good memories - cherished memories.
May the Lord bless you in your work there in Africa.
Tribute That has to be one of the sweetest testaments about you aunt that I have ever read on anyone. That sweet girl is staight from your heart and tells me that your Aunt Janiewas someone that knew how to love and loved you. Isn't it wonderful to have lived such a life that those you leave behind can gain insight and courage to live their own lives with more passion and desire because of the way you lived yours? I think so and I think for certain sure your Aunt Janie would be grateful for the life you are striving to live. Sorry for your loss but grateful for you sharing a small part of the wonderful life of service she lived. Have a blessed day. just ken
Thank you Shasta, thanks for this look into the lives of those who are less fortunuate than us. But I find as I read the story that while they are less fortunate with material things, it sounds as if they are very happy people who know the meaning of work ethic and are seemingly happier for it than most of the people in the US who complain if they have to work through lunch. :) And congrats for making it through the day and for wanting to learn more about those around you. It's a great experience you're having, for sure.
Thank You Thank you so much for your love for God and your "Christ Like" attitude for those souls who were it not for you would never have the opportunity of a Mansion in Heaven.
My husband, Anthony, have returned from living in Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa. We moved there in October of 2006, and returned home in January of 2009. I miss it terribly! We are from Tennessee and have one son, Joshua. We were missionaries in Chimala, Tanzania from 1992 - 1995 and fell in love with the country as a whole. We came home, got some additional schooling, allowed Joshua to do all the things teenagers should do, graduate high school, and moved back to Africa. Have come home, Joshua is married. This journal is our ongoing story.
