During my morning walk I covered the entire strip of the village. Walked upto the Hakone park and back. Left at 10.30 and went to Villa Montalvo with Ramu and Anika. After this went home, picked up Sangeetha and went to Hakone, a Japanese Garden. Sridhar picked us up after lunch and dropped us in the airport for the 4.45pm Emirates flight to Dubai.... read more

The Punjabi nanny made a lunch of zeera pulav and green gram dal. Sri's flight got delayed so instead of 12.30 left Chithra's house only at 3.30pm. While driving into SFO noticed that the whole hill of ups and downs was so tightly packed with buildings...offices and residences. The other places we had seen had large open spaces..not here. Reached Grand Hyatt at SFO by 4.30. Checked in and had free snack at the hotel club...this free snack is for club members only. Left at 6.00 by car to do some sight- seeing. Drove down the crooked street...the most crooked street in the world. It was a bit scary...almost like a Disney ride! Arrived in SFO at 9.30. Chithra came to pick us up. Reached home by 11. After good home made lunch took a nap. Evening took Nilan to a park near the house. Sandra came from her office nearby and picked us up at 5.00. It was a long scenic drive to her house at San Ramone and we talked about many things. Reached her house at 6.30. Had hot potato bondas and upma with yummy chutneys and filter coffee. Enjoyed talking about our childhood days. At 8.00 Sandra took us to Shanthi Samuel's place closeby. Sandra discovered that she knew many people whom Shanthi and her daughter Prarthana knew. Vittal came to pick us up at 9.20. Sandra had common contacts with Vittal too. Had complimentary breakfast at the Cafe Bellagio. Sri took uncle for dialysis while we got ready. At 10.00 Sri, R and myself left by car and went to the Venetian, parked the car there and went around the Venetian and nearby hotels. We covered the Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn and Encore by 11.30. Then went to a mall and waited while Sri went to get tickets for a show. After that saw two more hotels..Treasure Island and The Mirage...walked back to the Venetian looked around some more and then came back to Bellagio by 1.30 for lunch. Went to the Olives restaurant at the Bellagio for lunch. Shanthi and aunty joined. Sri brought uncle back from dialysis and joined us at 2.30. All of us had lunch together.
