Usual 1 hr walk in the morning. After lunch Sri, Shanthi, AJ and myself went to Room and Board, a furniture shop and then to Ikea. R did not come. In the evening did gym. R went with Shanthi, AJ and Nanu to Costco and then a shoe shop. In the shoe store they all tried wearing a shoe with five toes. Took turns to use the bathroom and get ready. Anita, Latha and myself who were ready earlier went to the Brooklyn Water Bagel store and got bagels/muffins for everybody and coffee. We were all set and ready for pick up from our hotel by the Starline tour company at 8.30. The tour started at 9.30 from the Chinese Theater. It was a closed AC bus. saw the Hollywood Bowl, the Hollywood Sign, Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater- the home of the Oscars, Paramount Studios, Rodeo Drive, Sunset Strip, the La Brea Tar Pit- a fossil site, China Town, the oldest house in LA etc. had lunch at Farmer's Market- a huge market cum food court. Shanthi dropped us at Dollar Tree at 11.00. This is a $1 shop. Bought some stuff. Next to it was Marshalls, another shop having clearance sales. Sridhar picked us at 12.30. Nanu and AJ joined us for 56 today.... read more

Left M's apt at 645am and reached the airport by 710am. After dropping us M dropped V at his apt. The 2 pieces baggage allowance mentioned in the ticket is not enough to convince the booking clerk. So we had to take one suitcase as cabin luggage and pay $25 for the additional suitcase for checking in. And the 2 body lotions bought by N were taken away from the cabin baggage. I bought Dunkin donut and strawberry collata for breakfast. 855 flt to Orange County. Reached by 10am. Then sent sms to Sridhar on landing. AJ and Sridhar came as we came out of the airport.
