I did not go for walk in the morning. R went. Amma called as usual at 7.30. Spoke to her since R had given me the phone. At 9.30 Sri, Shanthi, AJ, R and myself left for San Diego to see AJ's college. Reached before 11.00. College tour started at 11.10..a walk tour around the college campus that went on till 12.45! At just the second stop near the International Student Center i decided to discontinue the tour and stayed back. Had our lunch at the food court at the college. Then proceeded to downtown SanDiego. Saw the Hotel Del Coranado, built in 1884, a sea-side resort. It is made of wood and has a beautifully unique architectural style. Evening Sri and AJ dropped us at Target in the Market Place, Irvine. Spent quite some time there and also scouted Payless Shoe Store and Off Broadway for velcro shoes. Sri picked us at 7.00. After dinner played 56. (I was playing online 56 as well simultaniously. Excellent cards in the offline game....but unfortunately got two jacks! Sridhar dropped us at Disney Adventureland at 10 am...opening time. Spent a truly wonderful day till 9.30 pm the closing time. Sri and sachin came to pick us up at 10pm.... read more

Today was AJ's school graduation. Left home at 9.30. Vasanthi and family joined later. Michael's mother also came. We were seeing her for the first time. Sachin could not come because he had a water polo game. The ceremony was brief 10.00 to 11.30. Left at 12.10. One batch went to Vasanthi's house and waited there for half hour. Shanthi had to pick up some cake, baloons etc. All of us, except Vasanthi left at 12.50 and went to a restaurant Le Sol at Newport, near the beach. Vasanthi joined us much later, but Sachin could not come. Lunch 1.15-2.30. After lunch Sri, AJ, R and myself went in one car and did a bit of tour of adjacent Balboa Island. Usual walk in the morning. Went with Sridhar to watch his badminton game. People were playing serious games BUT most of them were laughing, giggling and enjoying themselves both while winning and losing. This is in total contrast to the MRC atmosphere. The wooden floors were matted...but quite old. Article on Online 56 titled 'Birth of Online 56' came in Deccan Chronicle, Kerala. Aunty's sister and family joined us for dinner.
