Day 57 - New Table

Morning- usual walk. The glass table top for the new table came today. It is made of 3/4th inch thick patterened glass, 3 layers thick. So, it was really thick and heavy. Had lunch at the new table today.

Table top
The men had a tough time trying to bring in the heavy glass top. Looks and feels almost like marble, especially since it had a mosaic pattern.

Laying down the top
Since it was very heavy they decided not to glue it to the table underneath. There is hardly a chance it would budge even if two people pushed it!

Light coming through
The table actually has 4 open squares fitted with strips of tiny lights. The table top sits on top of this grid. You can see the light coming through when it is on.

I am cutting vegetables. Lakshmi Aunty is preparing lunch.

Table looks less crowded now since the Lazy Susan..the glass rotating disc is new and bigger too.
