Went to the butterfly garder today. Took taxi at $2 because the hostel said it was too far to walk. We paid $11 total to get in and we saw the most amazing butterflies I have ever seen. Big, electric blue ones and all other types and colors too. Will upload pictures soon, not sure if photos will do them justice. There was a trail outside of the enclosed gardens to view more butterflies and was very muddy and lots of vegetation. Macayla was freaking out. Spent first full day in Denver at the aquarium and looking around downtown. It was hard to pull Macayla away from the reptile petting zoo outside of the aquarium. She was able to handle all snakes and could pick them as she pleased. Very surprising that it was allowed but the guy running the petting zoo said he had raised all the snakes by hand since they were babies and they were all very friendly. We also went to the Cherry Creek arts festival and spent a lot of time browsing, watched an artisitc performance and ate Greek food. Had a good day for the most part.... read more
