ButterfliesButterfliesButterflies

We saw this butterfly flying around but could not get it photographed so we took this picture of one mounted.
Went to the butterfly garder today. Took taxi at $2 because the hostel said it was too far to walk. We paid $11 total to get in and we saw the most amazing butterflies I have ever seen. Big, electric blue ones and all other types and colors too. Will upload pictures soon, not sure if photos will do them justice. There was a trail outside of the enclosed gardens to view more butterflies and was very muddy and lots of vegetation. Macayla was freaking out. She slipped and fell, mud everywhere and she had had a enough. I kept telling her that this was nothing compared to other things we will be doing. We then took another taxi to the childrens museum. It was okay but something you would see in the states except it was all in spanish. It was all hands on, interactive so we enjoyed a good bit of it. We decided to walk back. I am glad that we did since it was really not far and we got to see part of San Jose. It got much easier once we figured out how to figure out the street signs. I kept passing each intersection thinking

This butterfly was walking on ground so I snapped a quick photo.
why would they not mark their streets and then finally realized that they are marked on the sides of the buildings on the corner.
The views here are pretty great. Mountains on both sides. Can´t wait to get trekking in them.
Our room here at hostel Pangea is really small, probably 10ft. by 8ft. There is one double bed and a table. The outlet is broken and cannot charge anything, however, I feel less creepy than I did in Denver.
I sat next to an older man on the plane here and ran into him here at the hostel. Small world. Anyway, he is here to get dental work done. $900 compared the $16,000 that he would have paid in the states. Ridiculous!
It is their winter season here. So it is sunny in the mornings and there are brief showers in the afternoons which is exaclty what happened today. Plus, it gets dark very early, around 6:30pm. That surprised me, so we could go out for an evening walk.
Our day is over and trying to decide if we are white water rafting tomorrow or going into the cloud forest. The hostel has tours but they are pricey so
