Well, we are home and regardless how much fun you had, it's good to be home. It went by so fast; for those of us that still work, I would highly recommend trying to get away for at least 3 weeks. It puts you in such a different state of mind when you are away from work for so long. You re-think your life, goals and dreams. It will be difficult to get back to work. I like Jan's recommendation of getting back in to it slowly. Does that mean I only have to work 3 days next week? :) We got off the ship around 11 AM and took a taxi to Skyline Chili in Ft Lauderdale. Today is our last day at sea. We were up pretty early as the we keep gaining an hour as we travel west. We again met Larry and Henna for coffee and breakfast. We enjoyed our balcony, watching the fish and seagulls. Time to think about packing but not wanting to. We lounged by the pool; it is another sunny, warm day. After lunch we played cards with Larry and Henna. Funny times since only Larry knows how to play cards. Ken and Larry make up their own game and it was fun. Thank you to all our veterans today~ Michael John, Uncle Don and anyone else that has served us. We are so grateful to you! Yesterday we did enjoy our happy hour at sunset on the top deck. The pictures are beautiful and I will share with you soon. After dinner we went to bed; we want to be rested for St Maarten. We had breakfast on the back deck and then went back to our room to pack our backpack for the day. We walked off the ship and wandered around the pier for awhile. We are to meet Happy Harry at 9:30am, but it was over 3 weeks ago that we spoke to him and hope he understood us. Today is our 4th day at sea and each day I feel a little better. Ken is one day ahead of me so he feels pretty good. We do our latte' routine out on the back deck. This morning we are all going to the dining room for breakfast. It is the same food you get on the buffet, but it is good to all be together at one table. After breakfast we relax on the serenity deck and read our books. It is a beautiful, sunny day, about 75-80 degrees. Every once in a while we go in the pool to cool off. Today is a day at sea. Ken has caught the scratchy throat, congestion that is going around. I go to the infirmary to get him some cold medicine. I hope I don't get it. I use Clorox wipes to wipe everything down. We have a small breakfast with Larry and Henna and return to the room. I think we will read, sleep, watch movies, room service today. Not so bad of a day, right? Friday, November 7th continued...as the day wore on, I started feeling icky..scratchy throat, congestion.
