Took a city tour of Buenos Aires with Travellines. This was a private tour company and was not the hop-on-hop-off bus tour of the city. We were collected from the hotel. They drove us around in very comfortable bus for 3+hours. The guide spoke both Spanish and English. We were allowed 4 stops of 20 minutes each. But the stops were not exactly in ideal places. One was good at Plazo de Mayo. Others were at Boca stadium and some street vender places. No stops at Recoletta Cemetery which should have been the highlight of the tour I think. Will have to do that tomorrow.Buenos Aires has a lot of garden open spaces, an influence from Europe. Even streets in the not so rich areas are tree lined and are fairly looked after. I have been to Spain many a times. But was the virst time in Madrid airport. Quite impressive. I now feel the gripe of Michael O'Leary is true. If it was in the middle ages we would now apprecite the marvels of this airport structure but as contemporary it is such a huge squandering of money which Spain never had. At the best of times it is less than 25% used. This is the international terminal. I hope the "local" ter inal on the other side fares at least a bit better. Flight to BA was good with Iberia, no screens in front of you as is the case with most midle east flights, but who cares.
