Nazareth Travel sounds very efficient in spite of the secuity checks which are a mixed blessing. Wonderful to hear about the lush fields, the Israelies are know to be industrious. My goodness, Nazareth for us has only been part of the Christmas story. We look forward to more later.
We were in Mexico for the last 3 days - Rocky Point which is a 4 hr drive south of Casa Grande. Your trip sounds very interesting but a bit exhausting. I'm glad that you will be able to kick back a bit for awhile! Take care in your touring of the sights! As always, Donnie
Wonderful! It must be exciting to be off on your own again. Amman sounds like a place to enjoy over many cups of tea. I hope the border crossing goes well.
Still miss you!

Interesting Connection!
Hi Pam -- while you've been living and enjoying the reality of the modern day Middle East and its environs, almost simultaneously I've been taking "A Quick Journey Through the Bible" -- a six week thumbnail sketch of the bible timeline from Genesis through to the New Testament and The Church. I'm always fascinated by 'connections' and this is quite a good one. So, as I said before, I've been vicariously enjoying your travels through your blog, especially with the added bonus of relating to the early religious history of the area -- thanks, Lucille
Land of milk and honey Hey Pam, I can't wait to hear more about your travels and discoveries. There is so much to see and experience! Enjoy.
Tim, Krista and Liam
Glad it went well So, it sounds like things ae not as TERRIBLE in that region as many would have us believe. I guess it is like here. We see very few drug runners. We are not bothered by too many banditos. We have not been affected by an earthquake or tsunami. You get the picture. We are happy for you that it is all progressing as you hoped.
Quite warm here now. 28-30C.
People are leaving every few days now. The streets are getting quieter & quieter.
Keep enjoying. R&C
Enjoy Hi Pam,
I've enjoyed each of your blog entries, and am so glad that you're having these experiences.
We are currently in rainy Arizona! They are having very welcome and unusual rains that are helping to overcome a 14/35 year drought. The desert has probably never been this green--I absolutely love it!
I'll be interested to hear what else you see and do...

Limestone Hello again, last year while we were in Santorni Greece we found out the that the white limestone is used to combat flea's. We have this problem in the south and wonder why we don't use more limestone.
Saskatachewan is famour for it potash and crops so did you fine the landscape in any way similar to the praries. I doublt it but crops are crops.
Keep us posted.
Glad all is well Hope your border crossing goes fine. Don't need any problems now.
Sounds like you prefer to make your own way in the world. That is good. Enjoy.
Nettie is coming back here tomorrow. Bryon may/will be back later. They will go home late Mar. or early Apr. I guess they did not tke their car when they went home.
Things are fine here. We are starting to think of packing. But we are holding ourselves back. Still have 2 1/2 wks.
Have a good day. Love, R&C
Ah, the downside of a tour group - you can't spend time where & when you want to. You are at the leader's mercy. Oh well, now you can be the leader! Do enjoy the next week and take care . . .
Rock on! We are both doing rocks this week. I am in Thunder Bay and have been researching the geology of the area. The land we know as Ontario was first formed about 3 billion years ago. The Canadian Shield, which we studied in school a long, long time ago is stunningly beautiful. I know more about rocks and minerals and their formation and metamorphosis now than I ever planned. Life is a never-ending learning process. I'm enjoying your blogs and get a nice visual image from your descriptions. Check out "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" if you want to know more about T. E. Lawrence and his story. After being where you have been I'm sure you would enjoy it. What are your plans after the formal part of the tour is over? Have fun and don't step in any camel dung. Brian
in touch I've really been enjoying your blogs, and travelling vicariously with you!!! Actually, Philip recently looked up Wadi on Google as part of a religion project about Abraham. Don't know about Wadi Rum though. How does it compare with Jamaican rum? Just kidding! It's obviously a place? A river bank or bed maybe??
We are all quite well, though there's a bad cold/flu going through our house as well as Wayne and Jodean's. Gemma is most stricken with it right now having a chesty cough, fever and upset stomach off and on over the past week. Jodean's daughter has had pain in a lung due to a mucous clog (or plug?) that has caused one chamber of a lung to collapse. Not good, but she is getting antibiotics and physio to help her recover and is even going to school. Hopefully Gemma doesn't develop any complications. I am watching her closely, and she's in mellow but good spirits.
Both Philip and Peter received Christian Action Awards at school today. I'm not sure why they specifically were chosen, but am proud of them all the same. We couldn't make it as Gemma is ill.
Can't believe it's so springy already. The Sedum is growing and I wonder if it even stopped (it's quite sheltered). We have plenty of wet mud, but no tulips yet. I keep meaning to walk over to our nearest pussy willow to see if it's blooming, but haven't had the time. I think I'll send some of the kids after school today...
How about those Olympics. Were you able to follow some of the games? We totally enjoyed catching up at the end of every day and watching many of the events on CTV. Go farmer vision!!!!
Ta ta for now and God bless you as you travel about.
Love,
Stephanie
Silk Bags & Undies Hurrah for warm clothes, I am sure LLBean loves you Pam. I need to sit with a map so I can keep up and look forward to hearing more.
It is great being part of a group and I hope you can stay in touch with some them but slowing down the pace with be good too.
All is well here.
Where to next? Interesting journey. 26 countries! Wow!
Where do you go next? Did you find anyone who you will travel with or meet later to share time with?
Have fun on your own. Would you ever take another guided tour like that again?
The Bedouin camp sounds interesting.
Take care. R&C

The Beauty Oh, the beauty of it all. I was admiring the hoar frost and the sunshine- quite the contrast to your view. Love the updates and the photos were beautiful.

It's fun travelling with you Hi Pam. Carol and I are border crossing tomorrow as well - Managua to Houston to LA to Palm Springs. I anticipate culture shock, having lived pretty simply in Grenada and San Juan Del Sur, but at least we're not going directly to snow. And I won't miss the rice and beas (pinto guyaa(sp?) that much. Thanks for keeping in touch like this. We think of you every day.
Brenda
