Welcome ro a new part of the world. Read your email. & wondered about your travelblog. Then it popped up. Have fun. We look forward to keeping track of you for the next few wks.
Happy new year and happy 61st birthday You look great and it looks like you found a wonderful place to celebrate the end of the first year of this new decade in your life. Ilsa Mujeres is such a beautiful place. Too bad about its proximity to Cancun.
Good to hear from you Leigh ... you're right I did have fun . It had been 19months since I had been exploring ... it must be something in my bones that urges me on .
Great pics... Glad you had a warm, relaxing wk. The booze cart looks inviting. Hope Shirley enjoyed it. We do not know that cathedral. Tks fo sharing. R&C
GREAT CHOICE What a great choice you made to celebrate you becoming a senior-in-training -- thanks for sharing the pictures -- don't recall anyone showing pictures of their Cuban vacation that included the magnificent old buildings, dwelling instead on pictures of their very old cars.
I'm curious why/when the Jesuits were expelled and not the Dominicans -- must look it up. Thanks again, lsb
What a great b'day! It looks like a lovely island. What a memorable way to turn 60. & you can be paid for it. That is good too. So nice they gave you the gift. Terrific!
Now it is home & a chilly reality. Oh, well, you have Calgary to look forward to soon.
Enjoy & take care.
Tks. Love, R&C
great photos Hi Pamela,
Great photos - have to say, it was a lovely walk down memory lane - it certainly is not a place that will change - your trip was much more extensive than mine though so it was good to see some new sites as well.

Contemplating ... Looked at these over and over contemplating how the 'Jesus Walk' would have 'moved' me along with all the other significant religious sites -- everything looks so tidy and clean -- remarkable after all the years! Passed up a 'Holy Land' tour with the church some years back and am now 'black and blue' from kicking myself. Thanks so much for at least a vicarious pleasure through your lens Pamela -- Lucille
Wow! Terrific. So many interesting things to tell about. You must have felt like 'information overload' a lot of the time. You saw so much. It must be hard to keep it all straight. You won't lack something to talk about for a long time to come. Good for you. Tks for sharing. R&C
So interesting! Such beautiful and interesting photos, Pam! You saw a lot of the world this time. The pictures of your meals make me hungry--mmmmm!
