Tired girl? Hope the long trip goes well. I imagine you are already started. Enjoy. See you soon. Be prepared for the white stuff. It is not gone yet. Crazy! love, R&C
Last day Last day is it? Time to go home. All of this was fun reading and I look forward to some pictures. Here all is green and it is above 20 so it will be nice to be home and back at your garden. Have a nice trip home.Suzanne.
Dont come home!!! Just kidding, but it did storm and snow last night and everything is white again under 2 inches of snow . Ther are some very confused and disgruntled Robins in the trees looking like they would rather be anywhere but here.
A lot of highways closed and "do not travel" advisories. Back to my boots and winter coat to work today but only 8 more work days left so it is bearable.
My beddng plants are happy on my window sill and still very little (which I think is wise).
I have loved reading your blog and am excitedly waiting to see the pictures. Stay well and safe and see you soon.
Bring the warmth! Good to hear your travels are going well. Please bring the warmth; we had snow again last night and the high is zero today. Trans-Canada highway around Regina is closed again. The crocuses were blooming in front of mom's apartment in Outlook, though. She is hoping the deer won't eat them this year. Thursday it should be warm and spring-like here, so once you sleep a bit, you will be able to enjoy your yard. Best wishes for a safe and not-too-tiring journey home.
Stay I am sure you are now anxious to be home as you are seeing the end of the trip drawing near. We have a blizzard and many roads are closed! I think your weather is a bit nicer. You are a great "blogger" and I enjoy reading your entries. I have always admired your adventurous spirit. Have a safe trip home. God speed you safely back to Canada. I shall see you at our next bridge game on the 8th.
Thanks for the update. Great Springish weekend. Larry and neighbour Mike got rid of the skating rink between our two houses. It was probably 6 inches thick. At last. Can't believe how fast the snow is disappearing. The roofs are pretty much snow free now. And the good news is that all the water is sinking into the ground. None standing around the yard. Yahoo!
Had great times partying up with Jayne last week. Sunday was Juno night at Jayne & Craig's. Wednesday was her birthday with four couples. Thursday was Holly Cole at the Casino show lounge, and Friday night was women's night at Cindy's. We danced into the wee hours of the morning. Cindy is a great dj.
Saturday night there was a pot luck and dance party to the seniors centre on Elphinstone. Some guys we know organized it. We even were out on the patio enjoying the fresh air and sunset. Again, dancing but not into the wee hours, as we had to vacate by 11. Lots of fun singing and dancing.
Yesterday my nephew phoned to say that his wife has two tickets for us to McCartney. That was easy. I'm sure folks are busy today trying to get tickets on-line, etc. I'm not a fan, but how could you pass up this opportunity to see greatness. Of course, not to make the Moodies feel bad, they are still the masters, in my books. And hopefully they will be back in Regina soon.
Enjoy the rest of your travels, not that travelling is actually enjoyable these days. However, the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, etc. always are. See you when you get back. :>) Jo
Sweet, Sweet spring Yes!!! 3 days of warm weather!! Finally got to throw off the long winter coat and hood and, yes!... on Saturday, to shop along 13th in shirtsleeves. Snow disappearing fast, probably too fast, but what a treat. Robins flocking back and green shoots poking up in the garden.
Cappedocia. I did not go there when I was in Turkey and have always regretted it. I look forward to seeing your pictures. It is good to travel and it is also good to come home.

Boy is the world small! Your descriptions are vivid Pam and help to relate to some of what you are seeing. I am sure pictures will be terrific. I look forward to seeing them this summer, we have booked our flights.
Floating!!!! That Regina balloon flight just whetted your appetite for floating!! Hope the waiting around parts are balanced by the sights and experiences. Many snow geese overhead and robins singing here. Safe jouney home. Mo
Wonderful journey I have so enjoyed reading your blog entries. It seems like it has been an wonderful journey. But the sun is warming the earth and the garden is calling. We have been puttering a fair bit already...tomorrow the peas and spinach are planted! Enjoy capadoccia...one day Kelly and I will return there.
Hi Pam, just took time this morning to read your entire blog and get out a map to follow your journey. I have not been to 80% of the locations you have visited so very envious. Like you my last three weeks have been full with time in china and Singapore. Gav just left Japan this morning and is off to china for the first time. We live in great times.. Upon your
return I will bring the wine ( or vodka if you prefer) and we can go through your photo\\\' s. safe travels sister, as always I remain proud of your accomplishments. Lionel
Ohh a balloon ride How magnificent that must have been! What a magical place you are visiting!
Carol arrived on Friday night (about three hours after I returned from a business trip to Toronto) so I met her there and she was quite appalled, it's fair to say, that there were still three and four foot snow drifts. But she did bring spring with her, and so by the time you return, it will be mostly puddles. I can't help but notice the puddles are not substantial, so perhaps we won't suffer from flooding after all.
What day do you arrive back? I would love to meet you at the airport, if I am able. Otherwise, see you home very soon!
Sorry I have been out of touch. The net is not working well for us in Penticton. Don't know why. Anyway. Good to hear you have had a great tour. & are ready to return home. We are not sure we want to get home yet. Talked to Lee. I guess we can drive up to our house, but will have to back out again. We will not be able to get our car out yet. Don't know if we need that mess. Yuck! We are enjoying the Athertons. They are a super group. First Communion Sun. today for Benjamin. However, he has the flu. Or at least he brought up overnight. Too bad. Tough for the Mama. Have a good trip home. love, R&C
Lovely The pics I've seen of the caves are amazing. Did you see Ajanta or Elora in India? It's true- people are people- our histories really aren't all that unique.
And a second hot air balloon? Awesome.
Travel safely. xo
Ouch! You know the Tibetans say they delibertly build the threshholds of their houses low to prevent zombies from entry. I guess you're not a zombie!
Take care of your head.
Fresh snow again. You're missing nothing.
Yurts Pam I am curious about the Yurts, have not idea about accommodations there but yurts are becoming popular in the state parks here. Your guide Yuri sounds like he has put together a great agenda for you. I look forward to your pictures.
Travel safe and we will be in touch.

Mini mini blizzard and signs of spring Am loving reading your blog. Almost feel I am at some of the events and am looking forward to more on Turkey. Go for a Turkish bath if you get the chance. Here, during Juno week, you could almost feel the electricty in the air downtown. Working so close by to the big tent and the Sask Hotel gave my co-workeres and I an opportunity to celebrety watch.
I did not go to any of the events as Ken Hamm did a house concert at Karen and Trevor Harriot's Friday night to raise money for saving the PFRA pastures from being sold off. He did it for free and donated all the money from the CDs sold as well. Man do I love slide steel guitar. Trevor announced that Margaret Atwood and her husband are coming to Regina in late June to support the cause and we are organizing a fundraising dinner around her at the Sask Hotel.
Jill and I also went to the lake Sat and Sun to do more flood proofing. The boathouse is all emptied out and almost all the cabin furniture is up on blockes (hopefully) high enough if water comes in. We are pretty much as ready as we can be.
All is good here, sounds like it is there as well.
Jane
All is good here.
Saying goodbye is never easy. Somehow I think you will keep a line of communication open with your new friends. So how many drinks had you had when you banged your head on the door?:) I anxiously await your pictures.
History lessons Hi Pam. I am enjoying your descriptions of the sights, foods and company on your tour. I can't wait to hear about the night in the desert sleeping in a yurt! Thanks for the bday greetings, I'm still receiving cards this week. I'm going to Globe with Marilyn & Dawn on Fri night. Enjoy your coming week. Cheers- Linda
flowers Better enjoy the flowers there because there is still lots of snow on the ground here. As I flew in from Boston (not great timing for a visit due to the killing at the marathon),I couldn't believe how much snow there is everywhere - even more than Edmonton. Forget about gardening when you get back - just get out your rubber boots and then hope for puddles.
Uzbek Foods We love trying the different selections in different countries so maybe we can make something together this summer. Can you get an cookbook written in English? The cuisine does sound like it has lots of international influences. All sounds good to me.
I am off on another travel venture. This retirement thing is quite wonderful ,I recommend it to you all. Keep me posted on your activities.... full info
