Good hearing from you. Hello Pam,
I hope you are getting my responses. Happy to hear you worked out the problem with your visa; that would be scary when traveling.
I spent a great day celebrating my birthday and Jack even got me a carrot cake. It is cool here today but the sky is blue and all is well. I had great conversations with family helping me to celebrate.
Bye for now, Dorina
Banking Wow! That would be a worry! Glad it worked out sooner rather than later. Don't need many problems like that to get the heart pumping.
Take care. Have fun.
Good to hear you We started getting your blog again today and were able to read the last two or three, which had not been coming to us. Good to hear you have arrived in UAR safe and sound. Interesting they are preparing for life after oil; yesterday Bush was on the news talking about supporting alternative energies "we've got to get started on it RIGHT NOW". Yeah, right.
Have fun with the "Hufin's"!
Enjoying your TravelBlog Hello Pam. We are enjoying vicariously exploring Turkey with you through your Travel Blog. Looking forward to hearing about your travels in your next entry. Tanya and Paul

Wow! sounds amazing! There is just soooo much to see in the world isn't there? Makes me want to take history and geography lessons...
Still planning on sending India thoughts... are you thinking south east or west... I have thoughts in either direction.
Travel safely.
Winter Yes! at last! winter has come!
Monday we had 20 cm of beautiful white stuff. Imagine my activity on tuesday....skiing of course. What a beautiful day....
So different from your routine of the day, was it. I sure would have loved the massage and the scrubbing after my day of skiing.
Good day Suzanne.
Awesome Sounds fabulous, Pam, glad to hear all is going well and interesting. What the heck is a "kelim" that will fit into your porch nicely---a marble table? a young Turk with a massaging mitten? some other Turkish delight?
What you're missing Pam,you escaped (and I arrived home in time for) some pretty serious minus46 eyeball freezind weather, with blizzards farther north. I'm glad you're going to share your trip this way and will be watching for more updates. Yay. On with the adventure.
All Is Well Glad all went well in your travels......everythign is great here. Temperature went up to minus 20 from minus 30 and it now seems balmy. Laura is at a weekend retreat and Blair and I will just hang about. Love the back porch for coffee and newspaper in the morning.
We love the friendly people in Turkey, even if they do want to sell something they still are curious about you and will offer tea. How pleasant!!! Enjoy!!! Send more notes......
Kelly (for Laura and Blair, too)
I am off on another travel venture. This retirement thing is quite wonderful ,I recommend it to you all. Keep me posted on your activities.... full info
