Alex, Jenni and I took a nie daylong drive to South of NSW to Wollingong area, with stops to Stanwell ParkTops, Bald Hill Lookout, a stop at the Sea Cliff Bridge. We had a coffee at Austinmer Beach. $3.50 for the Vienna. Funny story. I thought Tasha gave me Aussie money and I paid for coffee only to find out I had Maylasian coins, with the coffee clerk wondering what the heck I was doing. Oh well. I tried. We had lunch at Port Kimbla. Had another coffee with Jenni's mom, Lorna. See the nice jewellery from Bali that Lorna sells at markets!. On the way back we stopped at Carrington Falls and with a walk ar Barwal. Driving through narrow, 2 lane roads. A fun day of sights.... read more

After a 15 1/2 hour plane trip, I finally arrived at Sydney. All in all a good plane trip. They actually feed me on the plane. Then Alex was there waiting my arrival. It was a busy road trip to his house with a stop at the local mall for supper groceries, all this while Jenni was at work. A very nice welcome supper after a nice swim.... read more

North America » Mexico » Jalisco » Puerto Vallarta October 20th 2007

Had a very nice 7 day trip to Puerto Vallarta. Stayed in an all inclusive at Golden Crown Paradise Resort, with a room overlooking the ocean. When arriving, just missed a big downpour, with streets covered in water at least 5 inches deep in some places near our hotel. It was a cloudy week, with the sun comming out at least daily, which was fine, considering how hot and very humid it was. Sure got enough sun anyways. The pool was wonderful, and the food and drinks were excellent, especially the Miami Vice. Went on a trip to the old town for some shopping at the market and enjoyed a trip to the beech of Yelapa and Majahuitas with some snorkeling included. Interesting to see the very poor people living along side the walkway, washing clothes ... read more

North America » Canada » Alberta » Edmonton September 12th 2007

Sept 12th arrived. I actually got up real early to take the underground all the way to Heathrow Airport. This required that I had to make one change in the underground, with only one set of stairs to go down and then found an underground station at Earl's Court that actually had a lift, one of few in this city, and then took another underground which took me an hour, not bad for 4 pounds. I got onto my Air Canada flight, a newer plane for a nice ride home. At this time, I want to thank my sister, Arlene for the wonder wonderful time we had throughout the entire 70 days of travel, and Nick for taking us so many places in Greece, as we truly had such fun, siteseeing and swimming at a new ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Greater London September 11th 2007

I really enjoyed my walking tour of the National Gallery, and Trafalgar Square, and the surrounding area. I had a very nice buffet lunch at Questos Buffet. There sure were allot of tourists around. Funny to see everyone on the street corner looking at the same map I was, trying to figure out where the next underground station was or the next statue or the next building. I can not believe how nice it is out. A few clouds in the sky but warm enough on a September day to wear short sleeves. What a nice trip to London. I definitely would venture here again to see the sights that I missed, and there are lots. The Big Bus tour was excellent with a story on a number of the buildings as we passed. Enjoy the ... read more
