Geo: 52.5235, 13.4115Today was our day to catch the train to Berlin. We had reserved first class tickets on the Deutsche Bahn website three months earlier, so got a very good price. I then had to telephone Deutsche Bahn once our trip was closer to make seat reservations. We had the Leonardo Hotel call us a taxi to take us to Prague Station. Once there, we tried to work out where our train to Berlin would leave from. That was not an easy task, so I highly recommend anyone travelling by train from Prague to allow yourselves enough time to work out which platform you need.It turned out that we had a very, very long walk, dragging our large cases and carry on bags, to a platform at the far end of the station. We obviously looked ... read more

The journey was very easy. We brought tram tickets from the hotel reception desk. The reception staff explained where to catch the tram and where to get off. From then we simply followed the crowd to the castle. ... read more

I am glad we saw it, even though it was nowhere near as impressive as the one at Buckingham Palace! We spent the next couple of hours generally wandering around the Castle area before finally ending up at the Lobkowicz Palace for lunch. ... read more

Today woke up very early, around 4.30am, which is typical for me for the first few days of a European holiday. My husband, Gary, also woke earlier than usual, so we headed out before breakfast for a walk over the Charles Bridge. It was so much nicer without the massive crowds of the day before! We walked slowly over tro the other side, and then slowly back again. There was a very large crowd of people on the way back with cameras at the ready waiting to see the sunrise, which was due at around 8:15am. We were too hungry to wait at that point and returned to the Leonardo for a wonderful buffet breakfast. After breakfast we headed back to see Old Town Square in full daylight. We spent an hour or so wandering around ... read more

Geo: 50.0878, 14.4205My husband and I, together with our 19 year old son and 18 year old nephew left Melbourne on New Year's Day on a night flight at around 10.00pm. We were flying to Prague for the start of our three week trip. We boarded our Emirates A380 and found we had been given new seats, all four of us had * seats with extra leg room. It was an excellent flight, very comfortable, heaps of leg room and as usual on Emirates, the food was great. A couple of hours stopover ... read more

A couple of hours stopover in Dubai and then it was off to Prague, where we landed just after 1:00pm on Thursday 2nd January. Geo: -37.814, 144.963Finally, today was our last day :( We walked over to Marina Bay Sands across the Helix Bridge for a look at the Arts Science Museum. We then joined a boat cruise on the Singapore River. We had done a cruise by night previously so wanted to do one during the day.It was lovely and cool out on the water, but incredibly hot once we were off the boat, so once again we headed back for a final swim and relax at the pool and in the Pacific Club.We were lucky enough to be upgraded very cheaply to Emirates Business Class for our journey home to Melbourne. Now that is the way to fly! It is going to be so hard to return to economy for our next trip. We had a perfect flight home, being ... read more
