Toilets
Well my darling travellers. There is nothing like a good toilet story to brighten up (and of course raise the tone) of a dull day. although sun is shining here still but cooler. Loved the stories and can picture Yvette and the significant other and have a brilliant picture in my mind of the large hairy dog..... They are certainly relaxed about their toileting habits eh? Nothing much happening here. Had nice day in Whangarei yesterday - bit hot though. Sold a couple of bits to Tuatara so that was a bonus. Just threw them in my bag at the last minute. By the way, we have mail for Shelley from Telecom, ASB. and for Dean from Dept. Building and Housing, Sky, and NZ Transport. Do we need to open them and do anything or just leave in a pile? Well darlings glad to hear it is going well. The photos are amazing and particularly loved the photo of the houses on the cliff. Keep them coming. Love yas Raewyn

I so jealous!
God, i am so jealous of you two - even with your encounters of the local people! I think they make a trip - characters! Had the AGM last night - went with Kelly. Not bad - done in an hour and a certain person didn't disgrace himself! Have fun in Spain - oh it makes life here seem so boorrrinng!!!!

Bonjour mon amie/ami...see I remember a weeny bit from...how many years ago was I at school ...:((((...not telling! Souhaitez-vous un verre de vin? Actually I'm sure you'd rather have a bottle than a glass...and no I didn't learn that at school..I cheated...that's what google's for!! Sounds like you are having a fantastic time. And five more months of it! Love reading all about it. Wendy xx

French lifestyle
Hey, there's a fabulous French lifestyle only a short two n a half hour flight from Auck. When u guys get back one day, and feel a bit nostalgic for "la vie française" think about coming over to Nouméa. Would love to see you here. Otherwise thanks for the blog; great following your trip; sounds like you're having a great time. Look forward to next instalment. Take care and enjoy!

Lifestyle
Yeah come on those bonus bonds eh. Never mind guys you will probably be sick of travelling and be looking forward to joining the mindless peasants that have to go to work and scrimp and save to get the gas to go to work. That sucks.... As Tui says 'yeah, right; Raining again today. Nice soft stuff so no problems and all your stuff is remaining dry - so far lol. The wedding the other night was on a hill in a freaking gale and there were 7 people present. For some reason that made it harder and I kept losing my page in the wind etc. All done now though but they hadn't counted on it getting wet and dark so without many lights it became a little more discomforting. Whew. Glad it's over. Supposed to be at Paparoa Market this morning but can't move too well at the moment. Hip giving gyp. What a poet I am huh. Well my darling keep up the good work of relaxing, eating and drinking. And I am sooooo envious of that cheese world you are in at the moment. Hope the petrol isn't costing too much at the moment. Pretty bad here but hey, that's life. Love ya heaps Ma xxxxx

Absolutely Fabulous!!!
Thanks for the update guys. Laughed out loud many times reading your latest adventures (have a vision of you sneaking through the loos in your jandals Shelley). The video's are cool as well. that traffic is insane. Hope you weren't wanting to cross that street. Looked like a human version of the game 'frogger' sheesh!!! After reading your latest post Dean I'm left with a vision of you two cruising the wineries of France as Eddie and Patsy did in a favourite episode of mine of Ab Fab. I can see the Tinman heading down one lane, oops there it goes back up another ...... Love all the pics, your smiles show what an awesome adventure you're both having. Gaylene xx

Paris
Hello darling. Glad to see you are enjoying every (well almost) experience coming your way. Sounds brilliant. I forgot to put in my last comment that I was yakking to Kurt the other night as I am updating his CV. Let's hope it is successfu eh. He sends his love and looks forward to any text he gets from Dad. Doesn't seem to have any other way of keeping track so I read him all the blogs so far. He just says enjoy and he loves you heaps. He also said he is not ignoring your texts but you know him. No credit on the old cellphone and no money to get any. I think he is now sick of being broke and will look a little more seriously for work. He is still my gorgeous boy though. I see the Warriors are playing at home this weekend so I might go around to Nol's and try and see it. Is Stephen playing do you know? Well better go and prepare myself for the wedding tonight. Take care and love you heaps. Ma. xxxxx

Paris
Wow what a trip and what a busy time you 2 are having. Please remember to take some 'down time' to recharge your batteries. The camp croussants sound so delicious it made me hungry to read about it. That was some walking you did on the first day and after checking Deano's photos it looked well worth it. Nothing much happening here. Bit cooler and blowing a gale today but sunshine. Had lots of lovely rain but think Whangarei got some flooding on Sunday/Monday especially with the extremely high tides that have been happening. I have a small wedding to do this evening just out of Tinopai. Should go well as she seems pretty laid back about everything. Actually she sounds as thick as a short boy scout but hopefully she comes right on the night!! Shelley I managed to get a keyboard for the laptop, only $20 with a mouse, from the Warehouse so she is all up and working. We have also eaten most of the good stuff you left here so maybe it is time to send a goodie basket from France lololol. Hope you are both taking care of yourselves and Dean is watching out for any colds and stuff that may be hanging around. Love you and miss you. Ma. xxx

Poor Dorothy
Poor Dorothy! Maybe you should programme in 'Wizard of Oz' and she will take you on the right road. Just finished the Relay for Life as past of NKA team - 24 Hours of walking. Great atmosphere but our site was lame - too serious - next year the Bream Bay team reckon they are going to have their own site and party!! I will be going their way - don't know if I can get the Riverside team to join us! Bit tired today but least the legs are still working - the old girl must have gas in her yet! Hope you are enjoying your rest day and checking out more decor inside cafes!

Looks cold
Hi guys. Boy it sure looks a bit chilly over there at the moment but you are both tough enough to take it I am sure. We finally had some welcome rain yesterday and overnight so tank full again. Getting cooler - nearly had to put me old slippers on getting out of bed this morning but the sky is now a brilliant cloudless blue so looks like another hot one coming up. The wedding I am supposed to do on Thursday next week might not happen. The bride to be arrived up from New Plymouth and went to the Court in Whangarei, forgot to take my details with her and named someone completely different as her celebrant. duhhhhh. When I rang to check out how she went she said "what was your name again" I told her and she said Oh thought it was Margaret so I put down the one from Maungaturoto..... But I still want you to do it" Told her probably not but she is determined to ring Court on Monday and simply tell them to change the name. God some people should not be allowed out of the house on their own. Will keep you posted on that one lololol. All well here. Haven't used the car Dean and probably wont but will start it up now and again to keep it running o.k. Stay warm and safe my loves. xxxxx lotsa love - Ma

good on ya!
Great writing you two, sounds like you are having a fantastic time - I am glad you are getting some driving in Shelley! Hope Dean's foot hasn't gone through the floor yet. Had the senior teachers here yesterday and looks like we are heading towards a 40:30 model here with me working an extra 4 hours to cover lunch breaks. Should be a interesting next few weeks as we works things out and then the 'speed bumps' as we start term two. Aren't you glad you are not here Shelley! I am so jealous of your adventures but good on you two!

Tinman and Dorothy
Very aptly named and Shelley glad to hear you got a turn at driving Tinman. It sounds like you are better off with the map. Have renamed Black Bitch chook to Dorothy as she leads me a merry dance too so thanks for that hint lolol. All is well. Mornings getting cooler but brilliant days so far. I am off out to Tinopai today to meet up with the widow of a guy (friend) who died suddenly and she has asked me to do the funeral. Very scary but I am glad I said yes. Think of me on Tuesday our time and send calming thoughts out into the vapour. Ewan is so jealous of the real cod and chips. Sounds yummy although he bought himself a couple of fresh flounder at the market yesterday and gutsed himself silly. Rang Perry last night but he was in the middle of watching the Warriors game and they were not doing well. He had mates around so it was a quick call. I havent checked yet what happened. Keep on travelling kids and I have not yet seen where the food was ummmm salad? or have I just missed that bit lol. Luv yas both. take care. Ma and him xxxxx

English Nosh
Congratulations on landing in the sceptred isle. Hope that you are drinking proper beer, and not that chilled stuff that we drink here in NZ. A pork pie (with a dash of HP), and a pint of bitter .... that's the way to go on a Spring Day. You may even sample a pickled egg whilst in a pub. Raewyn thought I was joking when I told that such things existed. Where to after London? Be safe and take care. Doris (Raewyn's friend)

Hey Dean, you're pretty good at this blogging stuff. Well done!!! Didn't take me much longer to read at all. This is why the internet was invented, absolutely love the daily diary. It's Friday here as I type this comment and it's now 5.37pm. I am just scoffing down a delicious lamb kebab from Durkadurka kebabs and burgers up the road. Then it's time for a well earned beer. I was appraised today, it went really well so I'm guessing 1 beer is not where I'm going to stop. Love to you both, G.
