Wooh its getting close
Only 4 weeks to go. That is amazing and seems to have gone so fast. I think Noeline has the girls looking around the west but no doubt others are doing likewise. Your writing is still amazing Shelley (bring on the book)and you show no signs of losing interest in your surroundings. Well done. You both must be exhausted at times. I had a brilliant trip but good to be home as well. The cruise was fab but bit cold and rocky with gale force winds and cold temperatures. Wouldnt ya know it. Do you want to visit any rellies while in Vancouver. Just in case Auntie Peggy's address is 49-43201 Lougheed Highway (not sure of spelling here) Deroche, Vancouver. She is mum's sister-in-law and used to live just up the road from where Donna is now in Titirangi. She was also the first one in the family to see Deano as a baby.... I know she would be delighted as she really pines for NZ at times but will leave it up to you guys. I think she lives with my cousins Joanne and Graham. Looking forward to hearing the next stages. Stay well and stay warm. Freezing here with some dreadful storms over the country at the moment. You mentioned Queenstown and that is closed today from, of all things, too much snow. Schools and businesses and ski grounds all closed. Gale force winds up here too. Lots of love from us. xxxxx

Yay, you've made it to the states! The heat sounds amazing, if only you could send just a wee bit this way. :) Have got our annual Hangi lunch coming up this Friday, they're getting bigger every year. Such a neat event with so much yummy kai. Amanda's 21st in two weeks, so gearing up for that as well. It should be a goody. Have just got home from a rehearsal for a play. Was pretty good too. Written by Doctor Warner aka Michael Galvin. Felt like I was in an episode of Shortland Street as most of the audience were actors. Still loving all the blogs. Take care you two and enjoy the next part of your amazing adventure!!!

Warmer weather
Hey guys. Doesn't seem possible that you are now in the States and by my reckoning you should be in New Orleans. We have seen on the news about the heat waves so please be careful and drink lots of water!!! The sights and sounds you are experiencing must be fabulous and will create some brilliant memories for you both. Can't wait to share them in person. Are you going anywhere near Boston. Cousin Ron Prinn and his wife Jane live in a brilliant house and love to see any kiwis heading their way. Would be a nice comfy bed if you do get there. I think their daughter is engaged to a kiwi. Ron is a professor at Mass Inst.Technology and is very learned. The odd one out in the family lolol. Things normal here. Rain, rain, some more rain. Getting a bit bloody damp actually. I hope this message reaches you as they seem to have changed rules again. Enjoy the next leg of your journey. Love you and miss you. I leave for Perry's on the 18th. xxxxxxxx

Hangi
Sounds very impressive! Can't wait to see a photo. Your annual hang to celebrate marathon is something you can both be very proud of. It is the highlight of the kindergarten year and an amazing way to bring your community together and for them to be part of what you do. I hope you get some written feedback to use in your appraisals etc and for ero! The sun is shining today in Ireland and the wind has dropped a little...less of a gale and more of a strong breeze. Love the animal planking photo on fb by the way. Awesome. Take care my friend. Shelley

Hey guys, I thought of you last night as I watched the news with the Queen cruising the empty streets of Dublin. She was probably enjoying the ride for a change and glad her arms were getting a rest from waving!!! It's the big build up to the annual Hangi lunch at kindergarten. We're having it on a Friday this year. More time in the arvo to enjoy the delicious kai. Can't wait. We've also built the whare inside this time, using a gazebo frame. It's looking pretty darn impressive if I say so myself. Might have to put a pic up on facebook. G.

Liverpool
Hey guys. Sounds like some trip over to Ireland eh. Hope you enjoy it all. My friend Doris is delighted to hear you are 'doing Liverpool'. She was born there and went to the Cellar before the Beatles did their first gig. She has just turned 70today so it goes back a long way for her. First job was at the Liver Building. Bet you enjoyed your night in the motel and managed to get a good rest up for the rest of the trip. Thanks so much for the calendar. Gave me a good laugh when I got it yesterday. Warriors doing well eh. Haven't heard how the Juniors are doing though. love you and miss you xxxxx

Good move
A hotel??? Loookshurrie!!! Good on you guys. You've done so well in your wee van so far. I would have killed my co pilot (or vice versa) I'm sure. hahaha Would love to see the Beatles museum, bet there is some amazing stuff in there. Well the wind is blowing a gale here again. Every time it does we get tornado warnings now, after the one that ripped through Albany a couple of weeks ago. Have fun in Ireland!!! xx

Gretna Green!
Hi glad to hear you are having a great time. Obviously weather has improved in Scotland since I was there. Disappointed about you two at Gretna Green - just when I got my bridesmaid dress out of mothballs! Work is ok. Working alright with the new hours. Back to playing hockey - the old body gets a bit tired these days. Looking forward to our holiday in June - we are going on a cruise - Mum and Dad's shout - we are spending our inheritance now! Take care - love hearing about your travels.

What a great week
Well you guys are really doing it all. It was so nice to get this on Easter Sunday and made it seem special somehow. Didn't pick it up yesterday because I was at the market, stinking hot, making the princely sum of $30.... However $30 in my pocket is better than nothing. Ewan went fishing again but didn't do too good. He loved it though but I think he was glad to get home again. Well, with me waiting who wouldn't be eh. Love the sound of the German part of your trip and what great people to show you around the less touristy side of the place. Perhaps they will come out here and you could return the favour. Glad you got out of Rome before Easter as on the news it looks totally packed and uncomfortable. Just a little hint. Donna is 50 on 8th May if you want to send a message via Chris's email she would love that. The whole family is heading to Queenstown for a week to celebrate it. Sounds brilliant. Perry's 4th wedding anniversary tomorrow - Anzac Day - so will give them a ring then. Keep having a fab time. Miss you heaps. Lots of luv, Ma and Ewan. xxxx

Venic
Venice sounds amazing and interesting to see in your first paragraph that you can safely walk around without being bitten!! or should that read bikes lol. The junior warriors played really well especially in the second half but I couldnt pick out if steven was playing or not. Enjoyed the game though and had nice meal at Noeline's so good evening all round. Didn't stay to see the Warriors and haven't checked their score yet. Brilliant photos on facebook this morning and the view in Austria is amazing. All the rellies in canada say it's being snowing again so lucky you aren't headed there yet eh. Still having lovely weather here although yesterday was first bad weather day. Gorgeous again today. Ten weeks to my big trip and no savings in the pot yet. Ah well, all things will happen somehow lol. Take care and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. xxxxx

Hey I could do that!!!! The beggar with the 75 layers of clothes and socks I mean, not the pro!!!! . go on, buy that whistle!!!! Hilarious. I'm getting inspired to travel if not just to have a laugh. Do they not realise that tourists may visit more than one spot?. The fact that they all have the same routine is just too much. How 'bout a vid of the guys with the string on their wares. Dean you blow the whistle and Shelley do the filming. .... again, hahahahhaha. xx
