Travel day to France

Geo: 45.2792, 0.215607yes, we have wifi. No pics tonight, mary has most of the pics on her camera. I will try to get hold of them tomorrow.too late tonight.today was mainly a travel day. Left Madrid by plane for Toulouse. Picked up our rental car, a Peugot, took 4 of us to find reverse and the emergency brake, BUT, we rented a GPS with it...heaven! It was much easier leaving Toulouse than leaving Madrid, I bought rental car insurance for the first time in my life after seeing how they drive and park over here. Driving through the frrench countryside was really pretty. Another fountain in the park

Geo: 40.4167, -3.70327most of my comments are on the photos. Getting late and running out of gas.we spent the day in Madrid getting cultured. we went to the Prado. We were also supposed to go to the modern art museum, but we got there and it was closed today. gee, bummer. mary really wanted to go, though.We finally got to meet MJ, Tom's Mom in Spain, She is really sweet and is taking great care of Tom. we only embarrassed Tom twice, (that I know of). she put a plate of cookies out for us. I was eating one and it sort of exploded crumbs all over my lap. Oops. the Dot had a great moment at end, but we will have to re enact it on video for you to truely appreciate it, maybe tomorrow.Posted ... read more

Geo: 40.4167, -3.70327Crazy couple of days. drove back to Segovia yesterday because Tom left his passport there. It was fun, but exhausting. Loved my little mini cooper though. driving the tiny streets of segovia was nuts. Tom kept taking me in circles all around the city because we didn't have a map. Returning to Madrid there was lots of traffic. We were quite proud that we made it home in one piece.so Spanish dogs hate me. they all walk away from me. owners walking their dogs don't want to stop and let you pet them. They won't even make eye contact. Very discouraging.We managed to exit the hotel, find our way to the subway, buy a ticket and get on the correct train today in order to meet Tom. we were feeling pretty good. the only ... read more

Geo: 40.4167, -3.70327Dot , Monday night 9 pm: the sleeping pills have been working great and I am still able to wake everyone up when ready (6am this morning). Too bad they didn't do the trick on the plane ride.But let's get to the important part of the trip: the food. On Saturday in one sitting I had salmon, roasted pig, lamb and steak. Again today I had some sort of stuffed lamb. Poor little lamb, lost his way and they stuffed him with some white bean looking things and all the fat and stuff was still on it, but I ate it and it was yummy. I have also had an excellent selection of different potatoe dishes, all great. Just trying bites here and there of all the desserts. I don't know what they are ... read more
