Geo: 46.2276, 2.21375Somewhernin France, stopped at McDonalds to pee and get fries and soda on the way to Loire valley, here is last nights blog:still without wifi, so I am writing this offline and hope to post when we arrive at our hotel in the Loire VAlley.it is Friday night, our last night at our wonderful b&b in the Dordognne area. the couple that runs this place is no nice, and it is extremely comfortable. I wish we had more time here.today after breakfast, we headed out by car to a couple of the nearby villages that we couldn't see well from the river (too much of a climb). Geo: 45.2792, 0.215607The wifi speed here is intermittent, so i couldn't post last night.Thursday was amazing. First, we had a wonderful buffet breakfast at our b&b. I'll take a picture tomorrow. It would take too long to describe it. Mary actually got up and ran today...good for her because our steps sucked yesterday since it was a travel day. Tom was saying the night before that he wanted to go to breakfast right at 8:30 when it started, so the family staying in the other building wouldn't beat him to the good stuff, About 9:15 I went and woke him up. Breakfast ends at 9:30. the beds are pretty comfortable and we have full wod shutters for total darkness,It was market day in Domme, one of the tiny towns around here. so we drove to Domme ... read more

Geo: 45.2792, 0.215607eveyone is still fast asleep after a long day yesterday.Dot: Friday 7 am, high today was about 80. Perfect weather again!First stop was market day in Domme. We all bought stuff and got easter bread, sausage, nuts and fruit for a picnic later. It was really cute there. Rowed our canoe 9 miles downstream on the Dordogne river. It was beautiful and peaceful. We saw no other canoes except at a couple of stops. Thank God Tom was with us to drag the boats ashore over rocks and stuff to beach us. Pics show all the pretty towns and castles on the way. The trek up to ruins and castles was pretty steep, so we will drive back today and Chris will attempt to drive the car thru the narrow cobblestone streets to reach ... read more
