The market was huge, with all kind of stands, fruits, veggies, meat, cheese, clothes, furniture, pastries, bread...yumm.After stocking uo on snacks, we started out on our chateau day. We squeezed in 2 chateaux, both very different. Pics in separate post. Gorgeous stuff.The second one is actually a hunting lodge and is still owned by the original family. He still likes to hunt, so he keeps about 100 hunting dogs, so we got to see the kennels. The dogs were huge. Not your cute and cuddly petting dogs at all.we actually got a little down time today because we didn't try to squeeze in a third chateau. We made it to the Loire valley about 5:30 after a long drive with many stops for sodas, pastries, potty stops, etc. One rest stop had the holes for the toilets. Oh well. I am so full from bread and crap that I am skipping dinner and enjoying some iPad time alone. Also have the nasty cough, so I don't feel 100percent. The Hotel La Vinci Best Western seems barely adequate. Mary was right. Tom sprang for his own room after seeing his cot crammed into our room.
