I forgot to mention that I finally met the GRINCH!!! I was on the Dr Seus Carousel and I spotted the grinch in the distance, so as soon as the ride stopped I ran over to him and got my picture with him, one of the happiest moments of my life. He was just as mean as he should be and he made a loser sign on my picture. Oh how I love him!... read more

We left the villa, to head to Gainsville in the afternoon after a pool morning sesh. The trip took 2 hours. We arrived at Geraldine and Jacques house at about 4pm, and had a look around the house and gardens, its lovely. Geraldine then took us on a tour around the area, which is a big university town, so it had all the sorority and fraternity houses, it looked lovely, i could see myself there. All the students were either running (lots of bodies) or strolling looking cool around. Geraldine and Jacques then cooked us dinner which was really tasty, we met their children Catherine and Ralph they are very pleasent. Then eventually we all headed to bed. In the morning we headed to ichetucknee River, for tubing, which turned out to be the most ... read more

Not too much to update about, but one cool thing we did was to go to the Peabody hotel, at either 11am, or 5pm to see the ducks. We went at 5pm, basically its a tradition in all Peabody hotels that there are some ducks, myabe about 6 that live in a suite onto of the hotel, then at 11am they get in a lift (reserved for ducks, and the duckmaster) and then parade down a red carpet to a fountain in the reception, where they then stay until 5pm when they parade back up, its really cute and worth seeing) Today we checked out millenia mall, which was very nice, had shops like Jimmy Choo etc, not that we could afford that! Then Alex and I went to Universal, which was fine at first ... read more

Yesterday we all headed to Universal Studios, what a great park hey. We did all the rides we were supposed to, however we have left to do, Disaster, Jaws and something else which i can't remember. Alex dragged us to the beatle juice, which was terrible but he loved none the less, who could have predicted that, and I met Madagascar people and Scooby Doo, exciting times! So after a long, hot hot day, when we got offered free VIP tickets to the filming of a TNA wrestling match, who could refuse? Well mother could. So her and pops, left Alex and I to go and be on TV! Well supposedly, two weeks on thursday is will be aired on Bravo... Shame we dont have that channel. Oh well it was still fun none the ... read more

Alex and I hit the City walk big style last night! We started off with a drink all together in a piano bar, then the oldies left and we partied hard! The ID worked, which is good as we got IDed loads, they are so strict, i feel sorry for all those under 21, I would have hated it! So it was a big event last night as it was Labour day weekend, which meant it cost $10 to get in, and it was all cordoned off to the people that didnt play, and they had 'big DJs', none we knew, and their standard or dance music was terrible, but they did play some tunes. We moved between 'The groove' and 'the latin quater' which were very busy. We made a friend, a random american ... read more

Over the last few days, it has been mothers birthday so we have spent the day doing what she wanted, which was shopping all day, which I enjoyed, not sure about the boys though. Then we had a lovely evening meal and went to look around City walk. Its really busy everywhere here because its Labour day weekend, so we have avoided the parks, due to hugh queues and after this weekend, everything gets really queit and even the parks close an hour earlier. So that will be good for us! Last night after havinga pool day we went to Old Town, its just as we rememberd it all, quite tacky, but in a good way. Pops enjoyed the Sat night car displays. Tonight Alex and I are heading out to party, for americans 'partying all ... read more

Tuesday 31st August: Cocoa Beach In the morning Pops and I rented two boards and hit the beach. It was boiling hot, and the waves were strong, due to the hurricane Earl. Whilst we were surfing, mother witnessed a young hassle Hoff esk rescue; some people just cant handle these hurricane waves, unlike us North sea hardcore folk. After we were slightly sunburnt and knackered we packed up and headed to Orlando. Had a smooth journey and then after cruising International Drive, found our new house. It’s very nice, lovely area, looking onto the lake. We don’t have internet so Pops and I went on a mission to find internet to get in touch with Kirsty, on the slight chance that we may get Disney Tickets. Luckily we did and we got 3 free hopper tickets. ... read more

We left our lovely motel La Quinta, in Daytona after mother and father had a 8am swim in the ocean to wake up, and drove about 50 miles to Cocoa beach. En route, we were driving through a strange place called Port Orange, the parents were deciding which trailor park they were going to live in, then we saw a scene that could have been in CSI! There was a seedy motel that was all cordoned off with the standard yellow and black tape, loads of flashing cop cars and even a Fox news reporter reporting outside. AFter further research, i have found it ACTUALLY was a killing, how exciting, http://www.portorangeareanews.com/ for further info! On a different note, we hit a mall on our way out of Daytona, which is always a good way to ... read more

After leaving St. Augustine’s Historic district we headed to an area called Valano, which is a beach town, with beautiful beach front houses and motels, but it was quite derelict, but cool; perhaps its busier in the high season. We then headed to Anastasia Island, and were planning to stay there, we found a lovely motel, with a seafront pool and access to the lovely beach. However it was raining and felt really stormy so we decided to head to Daytona. We cruised the 50 miles, listening to Jacksonville rock (Guns and Roses and Nirvana) perfect American driving songs. We arrived in Daytona, and the sun was in the sky, finally! We are staying in a lovely motel and have a balcony which looks uninterrupted onto the beach and pool. The sea is wild, due to ... read more

So we left Newcastle on Friday the 27th at 9:15am , had a lovely flight, and landed at 1:30pm USA time. We headed straight to St. Augustines and stayed slightly out, near by the outlet malls. After our first steaks we gave into the jetlag and went to sleep, in a slightly grotty Ramada, complete with cockroaches and cold showers! Pops and I have forgotten essential items, such as thermal underwear for night times, with mother having the aircon on full blast, we are sick of being cold in Florida! So we woke up at 5:30 am, and had a lovely breakfast, complete with freshly made waffles from the waffle machine; amazing. Then headed to Prime Outlets, where nobody else was around, we were there for doors openig. It was lovely, we are saving ourselves ... read more
