We have reached Pokarn, at 7-30 am covering a distance of 109 km in 90 minutes. We had breakfast at 8-30 a.m. in a very good restaurant in Dechu village. JYOTIRLINGA TOUR OF AN OLD COUPLE (6) 11th July, 2009. Actually I intended to stay in Ujjaini upto 14th. Before starting the tour, I came to know that a group of senior citizen devotees, of Guntur and Vijayawada are conducting homams/yajnams for about a week in Ujjaini starting from 12-7-2009, under the guidance of one Brahmashri Vadlamudi Venkateswararao garu of Guntur who is said to be a great exponent of Sri Chakra Aradhana. Through some of the friends known to me in Guntur I sent word to Brahmashri Venkateswararao garu that I would be very eager to meet him in Ujjaini during the conduct of homams under his direction. But the problem of accommodation in the Dharmasala and my visiting all important places in Ujjaini and witnessing the glory of Mahakaleswar and worshipping him to my ... read more

JYOTIRLINGA TOUR OF AN OLD COUPLE (5) Dt.9th JULY, 2009 -- THURSDAY At 7-00 a.m. Shri Shailendra, Pujari Guide met us outside Bhakti Nivas and accompanied us to the Omkareswar Temple. Before entering the temple and on the road leading to the Bridge over Narmada, there was a police barricade. The security man objected to the car proceeding on the road. From that point one has to walk nearly one k.m. to reach the Bridge. When requested to allow the car, the police man stated to obtain permission from the Police Station nearby. My pleas regarding our inability to walk for a k.m. and the pleas of the Pujari Guide have fallen on the deaf ears of the Police Man. His duty consciousness! I went to the Police Station along with the Pujari Guide and obtained ... read more
