Man, I'm shattered!! :D So on the 22nd (Sunday) after the failed internet attempt, me and Iona went to the beach after having a massive chat about anything and everything, was kool. Met Chloe on the way up, we hung out on the beach and I skipped and swum loads :) Iona made a cute sandcastle!! Came back, called the lady my granny's friend knows, and she invited us to visit, and me to stay anytime, pretty kool!! Spoke to mum and people, was kool. Iona plucked my eyebrows for me, needed done badly!! 23rd - back to work, I was DP so I opened the gate then went for a runnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, revised a bit, finished the canoe test :S did a self-evaluation, wasn't fun, hate doing these!! Learned a lot of team-building games to play ... read more

All will become clear as the entry unfolds... :p Had a bit of a lie in today, was very nice!! Though got woken up eeeearly by a phonecall from one of the other instructors wanting another instructor's number!! Sunday seems to be lie-in day at the moment - I properly got up at 8!! :p had brekkie, did some washing, chatted to Iona, now we're here :p its like quarter past 10 in the morning - might go to the beach later!! So Thursday (19th) was quite a hectic day!! Me and Iona were up at the gym at 6:15am for a private spinning class with Deon. It was fun to do proper 'moves' on the spinner, but it was haaaard on the legs!! Sprints on full resistance - not fun!! Not like running at all ... read more

So, we were whisked on a course yesterday, even though we weren't actually on the course?! We just had to sleep up at Willow Point because everyone else was going there, and there would be nothing for us to do at Upendi. But they changed their minds, and today whisked us back to Upendi so we can do Spinning and swimming PT 2moro!! So random. And apparently we're kayak-rolling all day 2moro... lets add to the collection of leg-bruises!! :p On Sat afternoon (14th) me and Iona went for a daunder after helping to make the salad for the braai :D we got some awesome stuff that I'd never tasted before, bean-like shiz. We'd just left, and James and David and Flip whizzed by and picked us up in the beach buggy, so we drove to ... read more

...of me and Roy!! Yaaaaaay :D this morning I actually let myself have a lie-in until 7!! (That is late here) :p and gave my body a bit of a rest. Read some of my book, was niiiice!! Me and Natasha and Iona went for the farmers market (after going to the Tourist Info for Chloe to find out if there were any gay clubs in Knysna!!) It was loverly, we had fudge and pancakes and hot chocolate :D it was good to get time to just get away from everyone and everything and just sit and chat :) we also got nice bread to have sandwiches on!! We bumped in to Ted, another instructor, and was chatting to him for a bit. I also got a CD for African Jazz artists, but the retarded CD ... read more

Guess what I did todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay?!?! :p :D ;) (I rolled, finally, incase you hadn't guessed) It was the easiest roll, the pilates roll, but still!! I nearly got the normal roll as well, but not quite, that's the aim for tomorrow. I did however, manage to burst my lip totally in the process - I attempted the normal roll, came up but didn't get the full way, fell down again, tried to pilates roll out but had run out of breath and was panicking so I couldn't do it so I wet exited and somehow, managed to hit my paddle off my lip and it burst, I think it hit the bottom and the other end hit my mouth. Anyway, I didn't think it was that bad, but apparently when I came up all you could ... read more

Hey guuuuuuuuuys, we're either going to Grabouw or Potch on Saturday, to return on the 25th March (apparently) so this may be my last blog in a while!! As Outward Bound say though, "the only this certain at OB is that nothing is ever certain" so who knows? :p the reason that we may not be going to Grabouw is that there has been really bad fires up round that area near Cape Town - we've lost a couple of abseiling and rox sites, the one that I did site specifics on last time I was up has gone apparently :ยท I just hope that the community that live round there were ok!! Such a lovely area, the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, its such a shame. Its Nadia's birthday tomorrow, so we're going out for dinner ... read more

Hey, just thought I'd update quickly while I'm here :) Training school has started, its pretty dam hectic!! Been in the water both today and yesterday, did lots of PT, and been on 4 runs in 36 hours... my swimming really needs work, but then so does everyone else's so its not so bad. I HATE murky, salty water, ugh :p SO yesterday, got up at 5.15 to do washing and did Pt with Nomsa, did stomach exercises and went for a slow run. Also did some of the arm exercises I used to do with John at winter training in the old school... *is nostalgic* found out that Lynn Maree (Lattitude lady) had visited and wasn't too happy that she hadn't heard from me and Iona!! After specifically telling us all not to contact them, ... read more

Sooooo, back in Sedgeveg, got a lift back in a very cramped car with Nadia, because the woman who booked our bus for us mucked up and booked us on the 0600 in the morning one!! But its all good, we're here now :p Cape Town was so awesome, training school starts tomorrow, will hopefully not die :p So on Tue (24th) I had to do some washing in the hostel kitchen sink, was an experience :p and someone nicked my cheese!! Me and Iona booked our Cape of Good Hope/Wine tours, dropped TishTash off at the bus, then went and saw the art gallery (can't remember the name of it) was interesting and very varied!! And chilled in the County gardens for a bit, was nice, lots of different parts. We took Leonard and Venkie ... read more

Sooooo, assessment tomorrow. Quite nervous about it, but it should be ok, we're not actually getting assessed, it'll be fun in a way!! More getting used to tents :p So on the night of the 13th, we went out and played pool, we made friends with a random called Austin, he was really good, bought me a couple shots cuz I was his "pool partner" we got beat though :p read Roy's letter at midnight, it was lovely :) And the 14th was Valentines Day, my year anniversary with Roy :D 3 was a good day, strange though, to be celebrating it without him!! Very emotional day for me, but its all good :D went for a good run, found a new hill, it was haaard!! It was pouring with rain, but it was good, more ... read more

Tis rubbish, but I'll work something out :p Today has been... interesting!! Friday the 13th indeed. Me, Iona and Natasha's running shoes got nicked during the night, we had left them outside to dry without a second thought, everyone else's shoes were fine!! Also, a pair of my, Natasha and Numsa's socks have disappeared from the washing line. Charming!! So, we hired the buggie again to go back to George to buy new ones. I decided that I would get a really good pair, sunce I'm running so much, and I definitely won't lose these ones!! They're Astecs (sp?!) and were R800 (like 60 quid) I'm really annoyed that I had to spend that much, but as I say, I had to, I need running shoes!! Argh. Anyway, since we couldn't run this morning, me and ... read more
