Just a quick one, while I'm trying to sort out these bloody photos!! Forgot to mention - on Saturday, I went to this amazing market!! It has a farmers tastery thing, really good stalls for pressies and nice cafes and stuff, can't wait to show Granny and Grandad it when they come!! Totally going back on Sat - got Dad's pressie already :p its perfect!! Speaking to Caroline online again, its awesome to speak to her, I seem to catch her all the time :D On Sun, we had to get up at 5 to be ready for 6 to go up to Willow Point to participate in a course, and only found out last minute that we were staying the night!! Hey everyone!! :D Yea, we were meant to be getting a 19hour bus journey to Potch today, but surprise surprise things changed (again) the course got cancelled, so we're back in Sedge-veg!! Joining in a course for the next couple days I think, then we have an unexpected weeks leave on top of our Cape Town leave, so should be interesing!! Had such a fun day today, Dave and James (Project Trust Volunteers) hired a beach buckie, and we zoomed up some trails and saw Willow Point from up high, and I got a drive of it (its totally impossible to even move the gears, let alone reach the pedals!!) Went to the beach too, but I opted out of swimming today, as I have mild sunburn on my shoulders/couldn't be bothered getting wet again :p ... read more

Hey again!! Firstly, got my postal address - Outward Bound PO Box 813 Sedgefield 6573 South Africa So send me maaaaaaail if you can!! Apparently it can take 2-3 weeks for post to come/go, and often more than that, but its worth it!! Finally know what I'm doing for the next few months anyway (although the way Outward Bound work, this could be subject to change at any moment) - * Tomorrow (26th) to Feb 15th, we're in the centre near Cape Town (can't remember how to pronounce it!!) observing some groups and doing some site-specific work - hence why I'm not sure if I'll get to go online at all :( apparently there's a couple internet cafes in the town, but this site is way out of town apparently, and I might not get enough ... read more

Hey everyone!! First things, Its actually the Western Cape, and not the Eastern Cape, that I'm in. So check the address on Google Maps if you wanna send me anything, I think if you just put Western Cape instead of Eastern Cape it'd be fine though :) So, the plane from Heathrow to Jo'burg was good, met Iona at the airport so we got to sit together. Also met some other Lattitude folk in departures, which was decent. It was Sophie's bday and her Dad bought her a free Champagne ticket!! The Emerites (sp?!) airline was class, got really good entertainment systems and food!! Card kept getting declined in Dubai airport (I was buying celebrations!!) got through eventually though. We tried to book into the Wilderness Parks Board site but it was closed because of the recent floods, they won't be open until just before Christmas. Another site we tried was the same so we had to go a bit further to Sedgefield before we could find a dry spot! It was a lovely camp not far from the beach and next to the Goukamma Nature Reserve. The bird life was plenty and we were amused each night to watch the guinea fowl go to roost in an incredibly tall tree and hop up branch by branch until they were right at the top - I hope they hold on tight!
