This tour was just for myself, my sister and brother-in-law. It was very fun just being us the youngsters, we could do anything we want to do without any adult restricting us. Having a ride on the ricksha, you know that you are in Durban and that is one of the fun rides that one can have just one person running and jumping up and down with you on the ricksha, they dont seem to get tired at all doing that. The other place that we visited was the uShaka Marine World, there I got to see the one thing that I always wanted to see which was watching the dolphins, i just love those animals. We also went on one the slides, it was hilarious but awesome. Before ending our trips we went for a ... read more

DAY 4 Today is our second last day and we decided to go to Xai-Xai the capital province of the Gaza region and see what there is to do, its 70km north from Bilene so the drive there isn't too long. At Xai-Xai we visited the local market and a lodge where the Limpopo River enters the Indian Ocean it was an amazing site to see. On returning to Bilene we decided to go to one of the local beach bars for a few local beers and spend the rest of the night at the camp around the fire... read more

DAY 3 Today its waking up at 5am to get everything packed and ready to head for the ocean, it’s a 3km row to where the lagoon mouths into the Indian Ocean. Getting thought the surf in a kayak seemed much easier as it really is I never knew that it will be as much work as it was, I am just glad that it’s a quiet beach and that no one was around to see how we struggled to get through the surf we must have look like a bunch of clowns flipping in the waves the whole time. It took me about a hour to eventually get to the back line but my time in the sea was short lived as the first fish that got hooked manage to snap my fishing rod in ... read more

Day 2 Today we just around at the camp getting all the fishing equipment ready. After getting everything ready we took the kayaks on the lagoon to get used to them because we will be using them to troll the back line in search of that ultimate game fish fight. Turns out that kayaks can be much fun on a lagoon as it can take you to all the places that you normally can't get to so a few snorkelling session was in order without even noticing the day just went by, so it’s time to get the braai going. There's nothing like having a braai in Mozambique all thanks to the calming atmosphere not to mention the millions and trillions of stars you see when you look up to the sky.... read more

DAY 1 Today a mate and I are departing on our week long fishing trip to Bilene Mozambique. It’s now 04h00 and we well on our way to the Komatiepoort border also known as Lebomba it’s a 5 hour drive to the border post. Arriving at Komatiepoort the last stop before going through into Mozambique we have to get the last necessary items such as third party insurance, after getting the insurance it sunk in that we about 15 min away from entering Mozambique. Sometimes I tend to forget how overwhelming the Mozambique side at the border can become as there is a huge communication barrier we being English/Afrikaans and they Portuguese, passing through the border took us ±40 minutes as it wasn't too busy. From here it’s still a 3hour drive to Bilene. On arriving ... read more
