I haven't been everywhere of course - but here are the beautiful that I'd pick (alphabetically):

Barcelona
Cape Town
Hong Kong
Istanbul
New Orleans (the old parts)
Paris
Prague
Rio De Janeiro
Rome
Saint Petersburg
San Francisco
Stockholm
Sydney
Vancouver

If I then pick the SUPER beautiful from these I'd say

Cape Town
Istanbul
Paris
Rio
Rome

(Sydney almost gets in to this list - it's amazing too)

and of all of them I would definitely chose Cape Town.

Cape Town is so unbelievably beautiful with all the mountains, beautiful old buildings, cold and warm ocean, art, culture etc. In the fact the city and the area around it isn't just the most beautiful city I have ever seen, I would choose it as the most beautiful place I have ever seen! Haven't been everywhere, but I've been to enough places that I think my choice is fairly informed. I find Cape Town the most beautiful in the world. Reply to this

I don't know what's the most beautiful city. But I do know that I like Vienna, Innsbruck and Sydney very much. I'd move into one of them if I had the possibility. Reply to this

I have to say any city that is near the beach would win as the best city. I have visited the Grand Cayman Islands and stayed on the world famous, . It literally is a beach that is seven miles long with one of the most beautiful beaches you have ever seen.

ps: forgot to say that the I think the most beautiful city in the UK is Edinburgh!

Some people have said London, which I would not agree with at all. I'm seriously not a fan of London, and I've lived there before. I know some of it's great, but I think too much of it is rotten. The centre and Westminster may be beautiful but everything from zone two out is sort of... pheew... and as for food... I'll be polite.

But I don't get on earth why people are so taken with the capital. I think it's an awful city. Reply to this

Amsterdam, The Netherlands is by far up there. Ive been to Budapest, Bratislava, Warsaw, Prague, Vienna, Brussles, Antwerp, Stockholm, London, krakow, Paris, Brugge, Athens, Istanbul, Copenhagen, Manchester, New York, jerusalem, Amman, and more....but my top 3 are Jerusalem for its history and culture, Amsterdam because the Dutch are great and it's a stunning city, and New York....because NY is its own unique world of beauty. Easy... It´s CARTAGENA DE INDIAS, in Colombia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It´s not a fake/artificial city, like Vegas and some others.
